The scandal started when Catelynn made a small change to her Instagram account that did not go unnoticed by fans. After years of being “Catelynn Baltierra” on her profile, she suddenly changed her last name to “Catelynn Lowell!” The small change had clear implications, and fans were quick to theorize.
“[Tyler] also didn’t post for her during Mother’s Day, which is a red flag for someone who posts the way he does. Lack of wedding rings in his recent photos isn’t a good sign either,” wrote reddit user penny-lane21.
Catelynn confronted the rumors on MTV’s Total Request Live. One fan wanted to hear from the source. “Why did you decide to temporarily change your last name to Lowell on Instagram?” asked a member of the crowd.
“I think that’s funny,” Catelynn replied on the show, looking annoyed. “Even if I did, what if I wanted to go back to Lowell? Why does that matter?”

She explained, “I got a new phone and deleted social media, and I had to go on to post something. When I logged back in, I don’t know if it went back to the original settings or what, but people freaked out about it.”
Though fans questioned Catelynn’s explanation, she maintains that the couple is not headed for separation. There has been a break-up in the family though!
Tyler’s sister, Amber has just split from her husband Billy. “It’s time to move forward,” Billy announced on Facebook. “My so called wife is out with another guy and I’m at home on a teather [sic] all I do is go to work and come home…I hate cheaters.”
It wasn’t long before Amber also took to Instagram to confirm the split. She wrote, “currently single and ready to NOT F**KING MINGLE WITH NOBODY CAUSE EVERY DUDE BE ON THAT BULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLSH*T.”
