The court has ruled!
Amber Portwood constantly has a lot on her plate. Whether it’s feuding with her on-and-off boyfriend Matt Baier, fighting with other reality stars, or just trying to get her life in check, she normally has a lot going on.
So much so, in fact, that many of her fans may have forgotten that she was in the midst of a lawsuit after she and Matt trashed their home and neglected to pay rent. Well now, the court has ruled.
Trashed the Place
Matt and Amber had some wild times in their relationship, and sometimes that means dealing with the repercussions. In this case, they were facing $6,015.74 of repercussions.
On January 11th, Amber and Matt were sued by property management company Zuluscape. This comes as a result of the landlord claiming that they had to paint the entire house, deodorize, and replace the carpet because of the smell from the pets — and that wasn’t even the extent of the damages.
In addition to the pet smell and repainting, the landlord also claimed that there was an extensive amount of other repairs that they had to address.
According to Radar Online, other damages included: dry wall damage repair, vertical blind replacement, removal and dump of contents left behind, brush removal, gutter cleaning and fence repair. Also, weed and mulch were found inside of the home.
In addition to this, the landlord also claimed that Amber and Matt owed them $1,648.24 in overdue rent.
Even though this could have been a huge source of stress for Amber and Matt, they managed to dodge the bullet of a drawn-out court experience. Instead, the lawsuit against them has been dismissed by the Warren Township of Marion County.
According to Radar, the court papers filed July 13th, 2017 read, “Come now the parties, Zuluscape, by counsel and Amber Portwood and Matt Baier, by counsel, and having stipulated to the dismissal of this action with prejudice, and the court being duly advised hereby grants said motion and order this action be dismissed with prejudice as to all claims with costs paid.”
