We were sad to see Javi Marroquin and Kailyn Lowry of Teen Mom 2 split up; Kailyn claimed she was just not ready to have another kid, and Javi really wanted to grow his family. Now that they’re divorced, Kailyn is surprisingly pregnant with a new man who we still don’t know the name of. But we wanted to take just one more look back at this former couple that we loved to watch.

Javi came about when Kailyn was split from Jo during a group date where Kailyn and friends headed out to the bowling alley. Javi made his first appearance on Season 3, Episode 10.

What we don’t know is that they already knew each other. Kailyn was working at a clothing store when Javi walked in. She convinced him to buy an expensive piece of clothing. She explained, “He looked about 15 so I assumed his dad was paying for it.”
He was older than that, and he came back the next day to ask Kailyn out for ice cream; He remembered that she said she just had her wisdom teeth out.

Kailyn wasn’t totally into Javi just yet though. She kept him as a friend for months. But she decided to give him a shot after he drive all the way to New York just to see her while she was filming a reunion show.
