More Hate for Farrah After 'TM2 Live!' Tweet

Teen Mom’s Farrah Abraham and her mother, Debra, have gotten quite the reputation over the years for their fights. They’re no Jenelle and Babs, but they honestly come close. On last night’s TM2 Live, Farrah and Debra showed up to talk about their relationship and how they’ve tried to move past their past struggles.

The controversial mother-daughter pair spoke calmly and rationally to Nessa and their special guest doctor, really appearing to have improved their communication skills. As usual though, fans are not buying it!

By all appearances, Teen Mom’s Farrah Abraham and her mother Debra have made real strides towards repairing their relationship over the past year or so. Their appearance on last night’s TM2 Live! showed a much more civil and communicative relationship than we’ve ever seen from them before.

Debra and Farrah seemed able to talk openly about their past problems and concerns for one another; their conversation did not escalate in the manner that we’ve come to expect from the pair. But fans aren’t buying it.

A Long Road

Over the past eight years, fans have seen Farrah and her mother get into heated arguments over and over again. Seriously, I can’t count the number of times that Farrah has gone off on her mother, bringing both of them to the point of tears.

She comes by it honestly...

Farrah has taken a lot of heat for her attitude towards her parents throughout her time in the spotlight, but she’s revealed over the past few years that her obvious resentment for Debra and Michael stem from a history of abuse throughout her childhood.

Since that realization, it seems that Farrah and her parents have been trying to move forward and learn how to interact with each other in a productive and respectful way.

Mother-Daughter Bond

Farrah’s main focus has been on her mother, and based on their discussion last night, it seems to be reaping positive results. They’re even scheduled to appear on a therapy focused reality show later this year.

Emphasis on seems to because Teen Mom fans remain skeptical that Debra and Farrah have reformed their ways...

Is it for real?

It’s fair for fans of the show to question their progress, considering the blow-ups that we’ve seen in the past—not to mention Farrah’s signature explosive style with people who aren’t her parents (producers, castmates, etc…).

Teen Mom's official Twitter account shared the news of Farrah and Debra's repaired relationship, in response Twitter user @rlb690 said, "No amount of therapy will EVER change FARRAH."

Fans think not!

"[T]hat is such crap!..Farrah doesn’t know how to ‘communicate’ with anyone..that fam is SO beyond messed up!" @GreenEyedGrl_19 offered.
"[T]otal act," said @Baykon25, noting that Farrah and Debra’s newfound civility reeked of a rouse to them.

@JulietteMyers18 pointed out that Farrah "expects [people] to communicate with her" while she doesn’t do any work— all of which are fair points, based on what we’ve seen from the star so far.

I think they did it!

To Farrah’s (and Debra’s) credit, I don’t necessarily agree with their critics. Therapy can work wonders to repair relationships and help individuals recognize the errors in their own ways.

Sure, that doesn’t mean that Farrah and Debs are going to get along all the time, but it is entirely possible that they have learned to communicate more effectively and express their feelings about one another in a productive and constructive way.

Who knows, though?

When they opened up about their concerns for the other's happiness (especially when it came to their choices in men) the moment felt undeniably heartfelt, open, and real.

If the therapist they brought on to talk to them has faith that it’s for real, who are we to say otherwise? Seriously, stranger things have happened!
