Tyler Baltierra is known for being open and honest with fans, and this time it is no different! He is opening up about his sexuality after facing online criticism. He’s letting fans know everything!
The last time Tyler and his wife Catelynn Lowell opened up to fans, it was about their divorce.
The Hollywood Gossip posted a re-cap of an episode of Teen Mom where Tyler and Catelynn get real about their split.
In the episode, Catelynn said “Tyler and I are in a really good place right now, and one of the things we learned during our separation is that it’s good for our relationship to give each other freedom.”
Catelynn made it known that she did not like the social media rumors that circulated about her and her husband.
And that’s some good news! We’re not ones to root for a divorce in an otherwise happy marriage.
This time around, Tyler posted a selfie on Instagram that drew a lot of attention for a different reason. Tyler is standing in a bedroom taking a selfie in the mirror. Accompanying the picture is the caption, “I’m not here for acceptance…I embrace all my rejections & deflect all that is negative to me.”
The caption seems to be alluding to something…but what? Fans hopped into the comments, some mentioning that he looks rather feminine in the photo.
A reddit user posted a screenshot of one caption and Tyler’s lengthy response.
The commenter wrote, “You seem to be very comfortable with your feminine side.”
“It has never bothered me. I was always told as a kid that I was ‘too feminine’ but I was raised in a household as the only boy with my single mother & older sister,” Tyler responded.
“I think I was blessed to be raised without the idea that I have to trade my sensitive emotions for masculinity. I was raised by a very strong FEMININE woman & I am not ashamed of it at all!” he concluded.
And there you have it! We love a person who can be comfortable in their own skin, conforming to stereotypes of masculinity can get outta here.
Most of the comments on the reddit post have been supportive of Tyler’s response.
“I think this is a great post and a great way to approach life, especially when you have two daughters,” wrote one user.
“Good for him. A lot of men can't or won't accept this, and it makes things harder for themselves,” said another.”
Tyler and Catelynn are open about their lives on social media, as we’ve all come to expect.
Tyler recently posted about his adopted daughter, he and Catelynn’s first child. He posted a photo of his daughter Nova, with a caption about her seeing her big sister.
“I’m so blessed that this beautiful little angel gets to see Carly this weekend! There really isn’t anything more precious to witness as a father than all of his girls together!” he wrote.
Fans are supportive that Tyler allows his children to have a relationship with one another, unlike when some fans were critical about Nova’s mental health.
Fans accused the couple of causing stress for the child due to their strained relationship. Tyler took to Twitter to defend against these accusations.
He tweeted, “Wait…so a kid throws a fit nowadays & we’re calling it ‘abandonment anxiety issues’!? I must have not received that memo, but that you to all of the social media child therapists for this new diagnosis. Hahaha!”
Catelynn then shared her opinion on the matter as well.
“Also I [sic] nova was FINE two minutes after I left! That was my first time by myself in MONTHS!!! And it was my birthday! If you are a parent you know that sometimes u need me time!” she tweeted.
