E! News reported that Jenelle Evans was hospitalized due to a lupus flare-up. People were shook at the news, and had a LOT of questions. Like seriously, reddit blew up with confused commenters.
Well, have no fear! We are here to set the record straight on what is going on with Jenelle's health.

So the E! News headline from yesterday really has fans in a tizzy. It read, “Jenelle Evans Hospitalized for Lupus Flare-Up Amid Custody Battle.”
Ok…what? First off, no one even knew Jenelle Evans had an autoimmune disease, so everyone is wondering whether it is true or not.
Last year, Jenelle had an unexpected hospital visit. After months of recurrent sinus infections, Jenelle “was supposed to her sinuses drained, and now they’re doing more invasive procedure,” a source told the outlet.
Jenelle has also been accused to getting cosmetic surgery by the Teen Mom fan base, and even admitted to getting her breasts done. But this new hospital claim is of a completely different realm!
According to the Mayo Clinic, “lupus is a systemic autoimmune disease that occurs when your body’s immune system attacks your own tissues and organs. Inflammation caused by lupus can affect many different body systems—including your joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart and lungs.”
Lupus is a serious disease, and it turns out E! News got the whole thing wrong!
Jenelle does not have lupus, and was not in the hospital. The article has since been updated, and the headline now reads “90 Day Fiancé’s Ashley Martson Hospitalized for Lupus Flare-Up.”
They posted a correction as well, saying “E! News previously incorrectly reported that Jenelle Evans has been hospitalized for a lupus flare-up instead of Ashley Martson. This story has been updated to reflect the correct information.”
Well, that’s not as much of a shock, since we already know Ashley has been struggling with lupus for some time now. According to one reddit user, Ashley and Jenelle are represented by the same people, which could have been the source of this mistake.
We’re glad Jenelle isn’t in the hospital, because it hasn’t been an easy time for her. At the beginning of the month, we reported about a suspicious white powder that was mailed to the reality star’s home.
According to Radar Online, an unidentified white powder was sent to Evans’s home on May 15. David Eason was listed as the victim for the call. The police report confirmed that the “white powder substance” was sent to their home in the mail.
TMZ released a recording of the 911 call, and Jenelle was the one who alerted authorities!
Jenelle called the emergency line, and asked the dispatcher to send an officer to her house.
“I want an officer to come to my house,” she is heard saying. “I just checked my mailbox and someone sent me a letter that has powder in it.”
“When my husband opened it powder just came out all over my car and we don’t know what kind of powder or substance it is,” Jenelle continued. “We would like for them to come check this out.”
She then went on to describe what was happening to David while she was on the phone!
“My husband just like, stripped completely in the middle of the road,” she said.
The dispatcher then asks her to clarify what happened. “My husband opened the letter inside my car, and then when he did, powder went everywhere and now…its on the ground. He dropped the whole pile of mail, it’s in the mud right now,” Jenelle explained.
“And you were at home, correct?” asks the 911 operator.
“Yes, we just pulled up home from court, and we just checked the mail. The mailbox is still open,” Jenelle replied.
“Ok, we’ll send somebody out,” said the dispatcher.
The incident occurred on the same day Jenelle and David’s children were sent to live with a guardian.
She currently has visitation rights to her children, and is involved in court proceedings in order to be able to regain custody. She released a statement to The Hollywood Gossip saying that she doesn't "want to speak publicly on the matter currently as that will jeopardize the possibilities of getting [her] kids back."
"I love my kids so much and I will do anything necessary to get them back and that is all I want everyone to understand," she said.
