Over the years, the Teen Mom cast members have shared some of the most beautiful experiences in their lives with fans… but they’ve also shared some of the most heartbreaking. Now, one cast member is sharing with fans a devastating update about their recent battle with cancer.

Everyone knows that a cancer diagnosis can be completely life altering. Mackenzie McKee is experiencing this first hand after her mother was diagnosed with a complicated stage 4 cancer.
“I’m devastated, I’m angry, I’m shook, I can’t breathe,” Mackenzie wrote on an Instagram collage of her mother. “You are everything. Please pray.” She added:
“Angie has always been the healthiest person. Always eating everything organic. Doesn’t smoke and never did, doesn’t drink and she runs marathons and works out 2-3 times a day. Cancer does not run in the family. So this has come as a complete shock to the family.”

Unfortunately, Mackenzie has just given another upsetting update to fans: her mother’s cancer has spread.
“This morning we leave at 7:30 to begin another new journey. IV chemo. I won’t have my first treatment until Monday. I have education and nutrition classes this morning then the port will be surgically placed,” Angie wrote. "As I’ve shared before, I dread chemo. However, God revealed to me that if I never had to go through IV chemo I would never fully understand cancer."
However, Angie seems to be staying strong and optimistic about her diagnosis. “I will now completely have full knowledge of what cancer patients are talking about. I’m also going to get to meet some incredible people while I sit in that recliner for a few hours getting my drugs!” she wrote.

She even had some inspirational words to share. “Soak in every moment so you can use it to help others,” she advised. “Continue to smile and hug no matter how you might feel. Brighten someone's day, even if your day may seem bleak. Ask a friend if they need anything. Show them love, compassion, and forgiveness. Share the love of God everywhere you go, no matter where it is. Be nice!”
Angie is full of words of wisdom and advice, and now she’s sharing them all with fans. She just revealed she has just signed a book deal and will be telling her life story through words!
“God has done so much in my life that I couldn’t imagine not sharing it in a book,” Angie announced.

“I’m happy to announce that I’ve signed a publishing deal with 13th & Joan Publishing House to pen my journey in a book,” she wrote. “I’m very excited about this journey and I am even more excited about sharing it with the world. It’s time for me to write a new chapter!”
Mackenzie also shared the news, writing, “My family means everything to me. We’ve got so many stories to tell. I’m super excited that my mom @angiedouthit is sharing her fight against cancer to inspire others to never give up. She just officially signed a publishing deal with 13th & Joan Publishing House (@13thandjoan) to write her story of fighting cancer. I can’t wait for her to inspire the world!”
