This Teen Mom star is clapping back at body shamers. She doesn't think there is anything wrong with the way she looks, but then she doubled down by saying her relationship is the reason her appearance has changed so much!
Keep reading for everything she said.
This Teen Mom star is clapping back at haters! She isn’t having it when it comes to those critiquing her body, and honestly why should she? But the weird thing is…she isn’t just saying “back off,” she’s also blaming her relationship for her change in appearance.
Body shaming isn’t nearly as popular in the Teen Mom community as mom shaming, and one star should know! Chelsea Houska was recently shamed for a parenting decision regarding her daughter Aubree.
In a recent episode, Chelsea opened up about having panic attacks, and Cole suggested she see a therapist. Chelsea wasn’t sure about it, but eventually came around to the idea of seeking help.
A fan on reddit posted a recap, alongside their opinions on the episode.
Aubree suggested that “maybe we could go together, mommy!” and that’s where things went awry for fans. Cole and Chelsea seemed uncomfortable with the fact their daughter wanted to go to therapy, and asked “you want to go to a therapist?”
Cole then said, “For what? You guys can just talk to me!”
Fans felt this was an incredibly insensitive way of handling the situation, especially one that was originally framed as a positive conversation surrounding therapy.
The fan also presumed that Aubree telling her mother that she would go with her was probably her way of trying to make her mother feel more comfortable.
“I think it was obvious that Aubree could tell that Chelsea was nervous, but that Chelsea had said it could make her better, so Aubree was offering to go with her to make Chelsea feel more comfortable,” they wrote.
“It was such an insensitive way of handling things. Aubree is trying to help her mom get better and instead it’s being looked at like some out-of-left problem,” the fan concluded about the scene. “It was just really disappointing that they didn’t encourage her act of love and bravery.”
Well, this time around Mackenzie McKee is clapping back at body shamers. The Teen Mom OG star looked a lot thinner in her latest Instagram post, and fans were quite cruel about the situation.
“The comments and snap messages I am receiving about how ‘disgusting I look’ and how ‘ugly my face is,’” she tweeted. “I am not hurt by them I just don’t get why people know what I’m going through which caused unwanted weight loss feel the need to say horrible things to me. Or anyone.”
She’s not wrong!
Mackenzie recently filed for divorce from her husband Josh McKee.
In another recent series of tweets, she said that Josh is going to have to work hard if she was ever “dumb enough” to get back together with him in the first place.
“If I was ever dumb enough to be with Josh. He has to start from scratch.. fight for me, ask me to be his gf, propose, than marry me,” she tweeted. “And if that’s another man first than that’s how it was suppose to be.”
She then followed up about her shortcomings as a wife.
“Also if he is dumb enough to be with me. I’m not going to pretend I was a good wife. I wasn’t. And for that I apologize,” she wrote. “I’ve lied, I’ve cheated, and stopped showing an ounce of affection for 3 years. Etc... we are both idiots and need a fresh start. Probs not with each other.”
Mackenzie also said she has a new man in her life...Jesus! Hopefully she's finding whatever guidance she needs.
