This Teen Mom star is currently in hot water with fans when she allowed her child to do something dangerous! Her followers were not thrilled when she clapped back and refused to apologize.
The last time a Teen Mom star was parent-shamed, it was Kailyn Lowry’s ex, Chris Lopez. Chris, whose Instagram page is private, started an Instagram Live video which was reposted by Twitter user @HatterBanter.
In the video, Chris is ignoring his son who is in the bathtub. The child whines when his father turns off the water, and at one point tried to turn it back on.
“Stop, you gonna burn yourself! You just touched the hot water,” Chris said as his kid tried to turn the faucet back on. He then goes back to the Live until his son tries to get out of the bathtub.
“No, you not getting out, you just got in,” Chris says. “Wash yo’ a**.”
You can hear the child whining and sounding upset in the background. “No no no, get back in there, wash yo’ a**.”
Fans on reddit were up in arms about this last statement.
“The way he treats his son is disgusting. The way he speaks to his son is disgusting. The way he treats kail is disgusting. The way he speaks to kail is disgusting,” one user wrote.
Well this time around it isn’t any of Kailyn’s children that were in danger!
Mackenzie McKee posted a video of her son Gannon riding a bronco, but what had fans concerned was his lack of protective headwear.
When Gannon comes out of the gate on the small horse, his cowboy hat almost immediately flies off his head, leaving himself exposed and completely unprotected. To make matters worse, there is one point where he comes dangerously close to the railing that surround the ring.
“Momma don’t let your COWBOYS grow up to be BABIES,” reads Mackenzie’s caption. “77 points today for cowboy Gannon.”
Fans hopped on the Instagram video to share their opinions.
“They make helmets for bronc riders……just saying….put one on the kid!” one Instagram user wrote.
“No thanks I’ll live my life the way I want,” replied Mackenzie.
“So if he would of fell...and hit his head...then what??” said another commenter.
“Welp, don’t take your kids to the pool, to the park, to school, don’t let them walk outside of sleep on a bad because they could fall off,” the Teen Mom replied as well. “H**l don’t let them get in a car. That’s some dangerous stuff that has landed far more kids on the hospital than a freakin small pony trotting. Good grief yall.”
“The pony is not trotting but ok lol,” said another Instagram user that hopped on the comment thread.
The horse is most certainly not trotting, and her son is young, so protective gear would not be a bad idea. Other commenters supported Mackenzie and her decision to allow her son to ride without a helmet.
“Shouldn’t we be more concerned that as parents we are having to buy bullet proof backpacks to try and keep our kids alive at school?” wrote one user.
“Geez people, some of you need to slap some helmets on your on own kids, wrap them in bubble wrap too cause some of you are definitely raising babies....” wrote another.
“Freaking mom shamers lord help you all,” wrote a third.
