Miscarriages are always a deeply tragic event, and it’s especially difficult when the world has to witness it. Unfortunately for this Teen Mom star, she lost her baby while it was still pregnant — and plenty of the other reality TV stars will be able to commiserate.
As fans might remember, Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra handled a miscarriage last year, which was incredibly difficult for the pair.
Catelynn had recently checked herself into a facility to help with her mental health while Tyler supported his father in rehab and parented Nova totally alone. The two had originally been overjoyed when Catelynn announced her third pregnancy on air, but the cameras were there when the couple learned of their loss too.
Crying, Tyler could be seen saying, “I really wanted that baby.” In the same episode, Catelynn was seen hysterical in her car.
Amber Portwood also handled her miscarriage on air. She had gotten pregnant during her relationship with Matt Baier, and opened up about the topic with Kristina, her baby daddy Gary Shirley’s wife, who also lost a child.
“I went to the doctor and they did the ultrasound and found the heartbeat. They told me there was nothing they could do,” Kristina explained. “If I could’ve chosen, I would not [have heard the heartbeat].”
Amber relates to her own tragic experience, telling her, “I didn’t even go to the hospital, actually. That’s really sad. I’m so sorry you had to go through that.”
Maci Bookout, another OG from Teen Mom, also suffered a miscarriage — a baby girl, she revealed. She and her husband, Taylor McKinny were talking about having more children when they accidentally revealed the family tragedy.
“We are not having another baby,” Maci told Taylor. “You really want another child?”
“I love kids. I wouldn’t be mad about it,” he replied.
Maci said that she would rather adopt, though she was open to conceiving again.
“If we want it to happen, it’s going to happen like that,” Taylor retorted.
But Maci reminded him that he was “forgetting something” and told him to “think about it.”
Taylor immediately looked upset and excused himself. Then, sitting alone, a produced asked Maci what had happened.
“I had a miscarriage,” Bookout told her. “Her name’s Dandy, Dandelion.”
Now another Teen Mom star is handling the difficult tragedy of having a miscarriage. Rachel Beaver, a new cast member. In her Facebook bio, she has a date (which is assumed to be the day she lost the baby), that reads “9/13/19” along with an angel emoji and a purple heart.
As we know, Rachel is from Tennessee, and has a daughter, Hazelee. We assume that the child was her first baby daddy, on-and-off boyfriend Koty.
We’ll probably see Rachel handling her miscarriage on this upcoming season — what do you think of that? Let us know in the comments and be sure to SHARE this article!
