After what feels like forever since the last season of Teen Mom 2 ended, Teen Mom OG’s return is just around the corner.
Even though fans are thrilled about the return of the show, not everything in this season will be fun and entertaining. In fact, it might be one of the most difficult seasons the show has ever seen.
Among the difficulties that the season promises is Mackenzie McKee’s struggle supporting her mother as she battles cancer. This devastating clip from the trailer proves that some parts of the season may be hard to watch.
It’s never easy to lose your mother, but having to watch your mother suffer and pass away when you’re only twenty five is impossible for many to comprehend. Unfortunately, the newest member of the Teen Mom OG cast, Mackenzie McKee, had to do just that.
In January of 2018, Mackenzie revealed to fans that her mother had been diagnosed with brain cancer. She informed fans that her mother Angie was “the healthiest person I know,” as Angie didn’t drink or smoke and ran marathons.
“I am so sad. I can barely breathe. I can not lose her. She did ask that I blog her whole journey and make a documentary in case something does happen we will always have that,” Makenzie wrote in the update. “I know God will use her to speak to others.”
In Angie’s update, she shared that her cancer story was unique.
“I’m unique from what my doctors tell me,” she revealed. “I have non-small cell carcinoma in my lungs, which is lung cancer. Stage 4. I also have small cell carcinoma in my lungs, and that doesn’t happen. No one gets both kinds of lung cancer. A nonsmoker, a marathon runner, it’s just blowing everyone’s mind.”
She also revealed that she had ten different tumors in her brain and that it had continued to spread.
“I have a tumor the size of an orange in my right lung that was wrapped around my windpipe,” she said. “There are so many tiny tumors in my lungs, I stopped counting on 40 on this side and just gave up on that side. It’s in my bones, it’s in my liver, it’s all over.”
In August, Angie had to go off chemo due to low blood counts.
According to the emotional Instagram post on Angie’s Instagram, she passed away at on Dec. 9. They shared an image of Angie crossing a race finish line.
The caption began with two bible verses before explaining that “Angie finished her race”.
“Her last days were spent lovingly surrounded by family and friends as they prayed, sang, and shared funny Angie stories,” the caption said.
It continued, stating the marathon runner was devoted to her religion and loved that Instagram allowed her to share her life with others.
“In nearly two years, she never missed her daily post…tomorrow she will. But this is where you pick up the baton and run like she did mighty warrior,” the caption said. “You can choose this day to be like Angie and use your social media engagements to make a difference rather than disaster, to spread love and not hate, and to always be kind.”
In a new trailer for Teen Mom OG, its clear that MTV will not shy away from the subject.
In one scene, Mackenzie sits her children down to try to painfully explain that they will likely not see their grandmother again.
“Nanny’s not going to get to come home from the hospital, okay?” Mackenzie tells her son Gannon. “Because I think it’s time for her to go to heaven.”
Kailyn Lowry Suffering Illness with Baby #4!
Ever since Kailyn Lowry had her third son, she’s heavily identified as one thing: #MomOfBoys! She’s shared that she finds it easy to raise her boys, but that she definitely would like to have a daughter. But since she decided to do a sponsored pregnancy announcement, we thought she might hold out for a sponsored gender reveal as well.
Chris, on the other hand, has not been so coy. He took to Instagram live where he opened up about having another child with Kailyn.
“Having a kid… I’m actually excited, cuz I was excited from the very beginning” Chris said.
“I’m two for two nowadays, motherf*cker,” he said, and then spilled, “Two boys out here, ya heard me?!”
Kailyn has since confirmed that she is pregnant with her fourth boy, but right now we’re worried about her pregnancy altogether!
The Teen Mom star has been experiencing subchorionic bleeding, something that has occurred in previous pregnancies, including her miscarriage.
“I had this with Lux & I have it again this time around,” she wrote in an Instagram story. “Anyone else experience this?”
According to her post, the bleeding is painless and usually occurs in the first trimester. Later on Twitter, Kailyn revealed more about her condition.
“Progesterone shots every week again,” Kailyn tweeted. “Anyone else have this?”
Us Weekly reported that progesterone is a common treatment used on pregnant women who have previously experienced early labor or suffered a miscarriage. The hormone helps ensure there are enough dilated blood vessels in the uterus.
Hopefully, the treatments work! Because she suffered from multiple miscarriages, it is important to make sure everything is going well for the baby.
But for now, she’s revealed that she is currently still struggling.
“Did anyone else have morning sickness into second trimester?” she tweeted earlier today.
“I had it the entire time with Greyson and Jessa,” replied Twitter used @TheHeatherAsh.
“I literally throw up almost every other day still,” Kailyn replied.
Plenty of other Twitter users replied with similar sentiments. One user said she had morning sickness for 7 months, and others said they experienced it until the day they delivered their child.
