Maci Bookout from Teen Mom OG is angry over how the show has portrayed her storyline this season. She said her storyline on the show is "absolutely NOT" accurate.
So what's the reality of this reality show? The star had some choice words for producers, and wants us to know the real story.
Keep reading to find out what she had to say!
Maci Bookout has had it with Teen Mom OG producers! She was not happy with how they decided to portray her story on Monday night’s episode.
The star, whose story we’ve been following for the better part of a decade, has finally decided that enough is enough. She took her feelings to Twitter to rant about this season.
Monday’s episode discussed her son’s struggle with a stutter, but Maci isn’t the only Teen Mom who is upset with the show’s production. About a month ago, Bristol Palin opened up after she announced she was leaving the show that the show did not get her story right.
Bristol’s storyline on Teen Mom OG focused on her marital issues with Dakota Meyer and their pending divorce. She claimed that they were “better people when [they’re] not together.” But how accurate was the show in depicting their struggle?
In an Instagram Q&A a fan asked if “TM took a toll on your marriage.” Bristol’s response?
“No, I was divorced before we ever filmed it.”
Is Maci joining her in this revelatory campaign? She tweeted her distain for the storyline last night.
“It’d be amazing if the chaotic, cute, real life, family/marriage stuff we film made it on the show,” she wrote. “Do I feel like my story is accurately portrayed on the show? Absolutely NOT.”
Well ok! That seems pretty straightforward if you ask me. She then continued, stating what she wished producers wouldn't focus on.
“Do I wish they’d stop making something/someone my entire story on the show? Absolutely YES! #TEENMOMOG,” tweeted the reality star.
Is this someone Ryan Edwards? Possibly! Ryan and his wife Mackenzie Edwards are making their return to the show after announcing their leave last year.
Maci Bookout’s ex apparently ran the couple’s bank accounts dry, according to Radar Online. A source told the outlet that “they went through all their money,” and is “the only reason they continue to film.”
Apparently, Mackenzie had been working for her father’s insurance company, and the couple has been living with Ryan’s parents rent free. They announced they would be leaving the series last year because they didn’t want to focus their storyline on Ryan’s addiction recovery.
Last October, Mackenzie gave birth to their son Jagger Ryan Edwards. Ryan was not present for the birth of his first child with Mackenzie because he was back in rehab.
Because of Ryan’s repeated offenses with drugs, it was not a shock when Radar Online reported that the 30-year-old had re-entered treatment. According to Radar, Ryan was supposed to stay at the rehab facility until early 2019.
The family wasn’t very confident Ryan would remain sober.
“If he relapses again, she’s going to file for divorce,” a source revealed to Radar Online in late November. The informant emphasized, “She’s serious. She doesn’t want to continue to be with someone who doesn’t help himself.”
"Being incarcerated, his family hopes he learned his lesson and stays clean," a source revealed to Radar. "Would they bet on it? Not on a dime. Drugs are very powerful. When your body needs them, you do things you normally wouldn't do."
Ryan's mother Jen and father Larry apparently are hoping that he seeks treatment again. "Jen would like for Ryan to find a counselor, someone he can talk to," the source said. "Larry has a lot of plans they would like to happen, but they don't happen."
So maybe Maci has had it with the baby daddy drama and theatrics of the whole show? We’re going to be keeping out eye out for more of what she has to say!
