Kailyn Lowry just revealed that she has been suffering from illness during her pregnancy! She's been fairly candid about this pregnancy so far, and this isn't her first health scare.
The Teen Mom star experienced a miscarriage before the birth of her youngest son, an experience she does not want to have again. Kailyn has been having weekly treatments, but her current pregnancy could still be affected.
Ever since Kailyn Lowry had her third son, she’s heavily identified as one thing: #MomOfBoys! She’s shared that she finds it easy to raise her boys, but that she definitely would like to have a daughter. But since she decided to do a sponsored pregnancy announcement, we thought she might hold out for a sponsored gender reveal as well.
Chris, on the other hand, has not been so coy. He took to Instagram live where he opened up about having another child with Kailyn.
“Having a kid… I’m actually excited, cuz I was excited from the very beginning” Chris said.
“I’m two for two nowadays, motherf*cker,” he said, and then spilled, “Two boys out here, ya heard me?!”
Kailyn has since confirmed that she is pregnant with her fourth boy, but right now we’re worried about her pregnancy altogether!
The Teen Mom star has been experiencing subchorionic bleeding, something that has occurred in previous pregnancies, including her miscarriage.
“I had this with Lux & I have it again this time around,” she wrote in an Instagram story. “Anyone else experience this?”
According to her post, the bleeding is painless and usually occurs in the first trimester. Later on Twitter, Kailyn revealed more about her condition.
“Progesterone shots every week again,” Kailyn tweeted. “Anyone else have this?”
Us Weekly reported that progesterone is a common treatment used on pregnant women who have previously experienced early labor or suffered a miscarriage. The hormone helps ensure there are enough dilated blood vessels in the uterus.
Hopefully, the treatments work! Because she suffered from multiple miscarriages, it is important to make sure everything is going well for the baby.
But for now, she’s revealed that she is currently still struggling.
“Did anyone else have morning sickness into second trimester?” she tweeted earlier today.
“I had it the entire time with Greyson and Jessa,” replied Twitter used @TheHeatherAsh.
“I literally throw up almost every other day still,” Kailyn replied.
Plenty of other Twitter users replied with similar sentiments. One user said she had morning sickness for 7 months, and others said they experienced it until the day they delivered their child.
Kailyn Lowry Tells All On Baby Daddy's Family
Even though marriage is between two people, when you get married, you become part of your spouse’s family as well. That’s why in-laws can make such a big difference in a relationship.
For Kailyn Lowry, it turns out that her relationship with her first two baby daddies, Jo Rivera and Javi Marroquin, were influenced a lot by her in-laws at the time. But surprisingly, it turns out that even though her relationship with Javi ended more explosively, her relationship with his family was much stronger than with Jo’s.
Kailyn spills the news in her memoir, Pride Over Pity. She explains that Jo’s family often stepped in to resolve issues between her and Javi.
“We were never able to resolve our problems on our own,” she wrote. “Because we were living under their roof, his parents were involved in every spat. As soon as Jo and I raised our voices, [Jo’s parents] Janet and Eddie would be there for better or worse. They would immediately state who was right or wrong in the argument and choose a side.”
Kailyn went on to say, “Janet’s advice began to sound like commands to me on how to handle myself and how I should parent Isaac. The constant interference contributed to our destruction.”
But Kail revealed that she’s glad they were present. She wrote that she’s “eternally grateful for every expense Jo’s parents made for Isaac and me,” even if she feels they were overinvolved.
“The major issue I always had with Jo’s family was the fact that our relationship felt to me like a family project. Our arguments always seemed to be a communal experience,” Kailyn explained. “Sometimes I felt like Jo’s parents acted as barriers and referees to our fights. I know that they were just trying to protect us, but fights are frustrating enough for two people. Throw in a few more and there are just more mouths yelling.”
As for Javi, he was on his own when it came to his fights with Kailyn.
“With Javi’s family it has been the opposite. They stand by us through thick and thin, but they won’t take sides or involve themselves in our fights. They know there are boundaries and they try to give us a healthy space to work out our issues on our own. They don’t try to push their values and feelings onto the situation, whatever it may be,” Kailyn wrote.
And as it turns out, she went on to have a healthy relationship with Javi’s family even after their split.
“Unseen on television, Javi’s family have been my rock. They have been so supportive. They warmly welcomed Isaac and me into their fold and treat us like their own. It’s nice to have people to rely on if need be. I felt myself opening up and really trusting them, unlike the relationship I had with Jo’s family,” she explained.
Kailyn wrote Pride Over Pity back in 2014, so it’s possible things have changed since then… hopefully for the better.
As for her relationship with Chris’s family, it remains unclear - but given that they were the ones who revealed Kailyn’s pregnancy early, she’s probably not loving them too much right now!
