Never looking back!
The Teen Mom cast members are no strangers to plastic surgery. In fact they’ve had upwards of a dozen procedures between them! Then again, with butt lifts, implants, and injections, there comes a time in anyone’s life to call it a day. For Kailyn Lowry, that day might just be today.
Kailyn has had multiple procedures, all of which she’s been very open about. In fact, she’s even shared photos from some of them! Now, it looks like she’s calling it quits on going under the knife. After all of the work Kailyn has had done, this botched cosmetic procedure seems like enough for her to say “never again.”

Kailyn Lowry has never shied away from questions about her cosmetic surgeries. In fact, she’s even had some of her procedures publicized by the notorious plastic surgeon, Dr. Miami, who is known for posting his work on Snapchat. During her time on Teen Mom, she’s undergone a Brazilian butt lift, a tummy tuck, and a neck liposuction with positive results!
She recently tried something new, though, and the outcome was… less ideal. Taking a page out of her co-star Farrah Abraham’s book, she decided to try to get lip injections, but it ended up having less than perfect results. “No more plastic surgery,” she said in an interview with Radar Online. “I tried Botox, horrible fail for me. I’m done.”
It’s hard to blame her, especially considering that it’s not the first time botox has backfired on Kailyn. Last year during a Teen Mom 2 reunion special, she showed off her lips that had swelled up as a result of an adverse reaction to a botox treatment. She explained on Twitter, “Tried to get lip fillers and had a reaction. You should have seen them without lipstick.”

In her memoir, Hustle and Heart, Kailyn shared a reason why she’s had so many cosmetic procedures. At its core of it, she revealed, everything comes down to having self confidence. She wrote:
“For years I struggled with eating disorders, and I was extremely self-conscious about my weight. This is rarely something you ever completely get over. It’s nice to think that the ultimate goal would be to feel totally at peace with my body, whatever it looks like. But in reality, that’s something that has to be maintained continuously.”
She made attempts to lose weight in less invasive ways, including joining Crossfit, but she didn’t lose the weight that she wanted to. She wrote, “I’d committed so thoroughly to working out and maintaining a healthy diet. But it was clear there was only so much I could do to change the shape of my body.”
That was when she decided to try plastic surgery to see how it improved her self confidence. She added:
”“I knew that being satisfied with my outer appearance would give me the confidence I needed to face the world head on. For me, the things that I wanted to change about my body were nagging little distractions from the deeper missions I wanted to work on.”
Kailyn points out that struggling with self confidence is something many people go through. “I’m human,” she wrote in her book. “I care how I look.”
As for her Teen Mom 2 costar Briana DeJesus, she’s far from calling it quits. In fact, she’s already got another procedure planned with Dr. Miami! “I’m going back [to Dr. Miami] in January,” she told Radar Online. “I want a tummy tuck, a breast reduction, and liposuction.”
