In the past decade, there’s been a huge shift in the way that celebrities show off and talk about their bodies.
It’s impossible to deny that many celebrities still encourage fans to adhere to a specific body type or look a certain way, but nowadays, many are much more aware of the effect this kind of talk has on their viewership. Most are careful not to talk badly about any body type… including themselves of anyone else!
But Farrah Abraham is taking a different approach and putting it all on the table by talking about her “skinny girl problems.”
It’s impossible to deny that Farrah Abraham looks different from the way she first appeared on 16 and Pregnant. But she’s very open about her surgeries, nips, tucks, and augmentations. In fact, she had her first breast implants while she was still in the first season of Teen Mom OG!
But Farrah has always had a very slender frame, even while her boobs and butt have grown. Now she’s getting real about her “skinny girl problems.”
Farrah did this when she shared a video of her latest procedure: an artificial fat injection she’s using to make her butt look even bigger!
“SKINNY GIRL PROBLEMS NO MORE,” Farrah captioned a new video of her receiving the procedure. She hashtagged it “#Artificialfatinjections.”
Farrah handed it off to the technician, who explained the procedure. “It’s going to enhance what she already has,” she shared.
“It’s working with my real body,” Farrah added.
The technician explained that she’d be injecting “freeze-dried fat” that would “regenerate [Farrah’s] own fat and own blood vessels that will make it look very youthful and plump.”
Farrah signs off of the video by again saying “Skinny girl problems no more, 2020!”
But given recent body positive movements and attention to the issues plus-sized men and women face, it’s no surprise that some followers didn’t like hearing about Farrah’s “skinny girl problems”!
"R u for real,” one follower wrote on Instagram. “To all the skinny girls? Wtf. How many people in the world struggle with body issues both skinny and thick and you want to come posting #skinnygirl that’s not cool."
But some thought that Farrah’s post was funny, with one writing, "Where do I sign up to give this fat away I don’t want it, 😂."
What do you think about Farrah’s “skinny girl problems”?
Farrah Abraham Teases a Possible Return to 'Teen Mom OG' Amid 'Slumping' Ratings
For the first several years of Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2, the cast was completely set in stone. Fans tuned in to see the same four girls week in and week out so that they could follow their stories as they aged and matured.
That all ended when Farrah Abraham parted ways with MTV.
Farrah shook things up when she left MTV, but now it looks like she could be back.
Since her explosive departure, MTV has tried time and again to replace her. Amid rumors that Teen Mom 3 star Mackenzie McKee would be replacing her, MTV chose instead to cast Bristol Palin!
Well, we all know that didn’t last long.
At the same time that Bristol was added to the cast, MTV also added Are You The One? star Cheyenne Floyd, but many long-time viewers still think that it’s not quite the same.
Although there have been countless rumors that Farrah Abraham would return to the show, she’s never confirmed that she was in talks with MTV about the prospect. Now, she’s finally speaking out about the possibility.
In an interview with Ok! Magazine Farrah revealed her sentiments about her departure.
“I didn’t do anything illegal or anything like that and I had to move on from the show,” Farrah said. “I’m just living my best life since I’ve left, feeling better than I ever have.”
“I really don’t miss it,” she insisted, but revealed that she and Sophia are still in touch with the crew. “It’s such a healthy nice place to be in where I can go have lunch with the executives. I can go see my producers. We can go have laughs and stuff now. I just don’t like working in a negative situation and I think they see that I want a great relationship with them and that doesn’t mean I need to work with them. We can still just be friends and I think that’s a beautiful thing.”
But Farrah voiced concern for the show as well. “The ratings have slumped to the lowest they’ve ever been,” she claimed. “That really hurts me because I started that and I would never want it to be in that position.”
“The ratings dropped since we’re not on the show,” Farrah said. She said, “I think if there’s a fifth wall which I can create in creative for ‘Teen Mom,’ I’m open to come back because I love new things challenging and developing.” She added, “But I don’t even know if ‘Teen Mom’ got picked up for a new season.”
She did, however, say, “I’m not sharing a cast with newbies when I’m an OG.”
But she insisted that there are parts of the fame she wasn’t into. “I don’t need the whole sensationalized celebrity moms vibe,” she said.
Some fans agreed that the difference in the Teen Mom image is what’s driving them away. “Ratings dropped because all they do is go on vacation and do rich people stuff,” wrote reddit user castlesandcrumpets. “The viewers wanted to see what life was like for teen moms. So of course most of us have stopped watching.”
User Brianas-Living-Room chimed in, “Not only rich ppl stuff but it’s repetitive. How many seasons have we scene Maci sigh and moan in a monotone voice about Rhine? How many seasons have we heard adoption, carly, anxiety, rehab? How many seasons have we seen gary and kristina sit at a table somewhere and start a conversation on how amber doesn’t see leah? It’s the same sh*t over and over.”
