Chelsea Houska is known for her iconic red hair, but she just said she is going to ditch it! The Teen Mom is notorious for her major glow-up, but she hasn't changed her look in a long time.
The MTV star recently chopped off a fair amount of her locks, which could be her dipping her toes into the changing waters. Is she going for a more mature look now that she's grown?
Chelsea Houska is known for her looks, but she’s ready to change things up! The Teen Mom 2 star is ready for something new, and we can’t blame her.
Recently, Chelsea Houska has opened up about her struggles with anxiety. In a clip for next week’s episode, she opened up about the anxiety she had about her clothing launch with a local boutique.
“I’m nervous,” Chelsea reveals in the clip. “Like I’ve always been anxious…but like it went from being like, ‘Oh I’m nervous,’ to like, debilitating.”
In the car ride over to the launch, Chelsea clearly becomes anxious. She tells her husband Cole DeBoer that she needs to listen to her meditation books, and then has him stop at the gas station so she can pee, which she explains is because she’s feeling anxious.
“Let’s get there as fast as we can,” Chelsea begs when she gets back in the car. “Because I’m going to feel better once we’re there.”
But fans think there may be another reason that Chelsea popped out.
As many fans pointed out, Chelsea recently explained in an episode that she didn’t want to take psychiatric medication because she was breastfeeding.
Some fans agreed with this theory. “That was my first thought! I’m on board,” wrote user winesceneinvestgator. User jennydoesntcare elaborated, “I was disappointed that if she were on meds … that she wouldn't just be up front and even somewhat of a personal spokesperson.”
Chelsea did an Instagram Q&A over the weekend where she revealed the change, Ok! Magazine reported. “Do you think you’ll always do your signature red hair? What other color would you [dye] your hair,” a fan asked.
“I want to go dark dark, almost black. But I’m scared,” she responded.
A change in hair color won’t be new for the star, although fans have gotten used to her signature look.
Back on 16 and Pregnant, Chelsea was a brunette. She then went blonde before settling on the red.
In other Chelsea glow-up news, fans were not pleased when she discussed weight loss. Chelsea shared endless selfies while she was taping for the Teen Mom 2 reunion, and now she’s sharing all of her secrets.

Some fans were thrilled about her update and were quick to share their support. But not everyone was so impressed, and fans sounded off with their disappointment in the comments.
“I was disappointed when I looked at the ingredients in one of the shakes and it had sucralose 😕 I always try to avoid artificial sweeteners,” wrote @angela.smith.fit. User @melie_k wrote, “Aw no... not you too 😓 this makes me so sad... I love you, or I did before this toxic diet culture being spread around as ‘health’.”
Chelsea has given a bit of mixed signals about how she loses weight, and fans think she might not rely on Profile as much as she claims.
“How did @ChelseaHouska lose her baby weight? Need tips!” wrote one of Chelsea’s fans on Twitter last year. Chelsea shot back quickly, “Low carb ?.”
“She also does Crossfit, working out and lifting,” another fan chimed in to say. But busy mom Chelsea pointed out, “I wish I still did CrossFit 🙁 I haven’t been to a gym since I was pregnant haha.”
Apparently, for Chelsea, it’s all about what she puts in her mouth. Shockingly, she’s revealed that she hasn’t just lost her baby weight… she’s gotten down to an even lower weight than she started at!
“I’m on a strict/low carb diet,” she told fans. “It was not easy! But I’m 10lbs less than I was before I got pregnant, so it’s been worth it.”
She went on, “I do easy/quick meal prep. Lots of chicken breast and broccoli microwave steamers!”
Well whatever she’s doing, it seems to be working. Excited to see the new hair!
