Chelsea Houska and Cole DeBoer are easily one of the most popular Teen Mom couples in the franchise. They have a healthy relationship (especially by Teen Mom standards), have adorable children, and Cole has even discussed the possibility of adopting Chelsea’s daughter Aubree.
But could this whole relationship be built upon a lie?
Of all the places to meet, Chelsea Houska met her future husband at a gas station! As the story goes… The two locked eyes, but both were too shy to say anything to one another. Cole DeBoer then found Chelsea on social media, and their relationship sparked from there.
Although Cole didn’t want to appear on the show at first, when he decided to let the fans meet him, everyone knew that it was a perfect match. Chelsea and Cole had the same values, the same ideals, and the same sense of humor.
Their love story is a little odd, even by Teen Mom standards. But now, some fans are theorizing that it’s a strange story because it’s a lie!
The topic was reignited when MTV posted a picture of Chelsea and Cole back in 2015, writing, “Chelsea and Cole’s love story started at a gas station in 2014. Since then, they’ve adopted a pig, grown their family, started a business, and more.”
But there were numerous fans who just aren’t buying this, including reddit user RedShutUp. “More like the love story they want to tell us. I still don’t believe this gas station life story.”
They went on, “Honestly, if I was filling up my car, saw a guy and he found me on social media after never saying a word to each other, I’d be creeped the f*ck out.”
Most fans seem to think the lovebirds actually met online!
“I agree, only because they are both so shy! Who would ask who? I think they met online or something. I met my fiancé on Tinder, so DGAF!” wrote user GltyPleasureTrshTV.
User scratchmyears wrote, “Like everything else, their story is perfectly curated by Chelsea to control the conversation.” User AlissonLeech agreed, “The gas station story is stupid fake.”
But not everyone thinks that this is fake news.
“Everyone that says their story is fake, what population of areas do you all live in. Because small town mid western, I believe it,” wrote mrow19.
And some just don’t care. User slowdancequeen chimed in,
“Who cares how they met? They met, had babies and got married. The end. I don’t get why people are so jealous of her and her endeavors. Adam was a piece of shit and aubree would be another casualty of teen pregnancy/bad dad if Cole wouldn’t have stepped up.”
What do you think about their love story? Was it faked for TV?
Chelsea Houska Fears For Her Life!
Although Chelsea Houska’s life may seem picture perfect from the outside, it’s impossible to ignore the fact that she’s gone through her own set of difficulties and hardships. Fans have watched as she’s struggled to comfort her daughter, Aubree, as it becomes more and more clear that her baby daddy Adam Lind might never step up as a father.
But that’s not the only difficulty that Chelsea is facing right now. In fact, she’s recently opened up about something much more frightening: she’s fearing for her life!
Teen Mom 2 has just wrapped, which means one thing: reunions. The reunions have brought us some of the most dramatic moments of this entire season, but for Chelsea Houska, it’s a time of reflection.
This season hasn’t been easy on the mother of three. After giving birth to her third child, Laney, Chelsea’s family got a little bigger and a whole lot cuter, but raising two children under two years old is a challenge for even the most perfect of mothers. And that’s far from the only challenge that Chelsea was facing this season.
In scene after heartbreaking scene, viewers watched as Chelsea continually had to fight with her first baby daddy Adam and his mother, Doris. Throughout the season, Adam and Doris continued to push the boundaries of their custody agreement with Aubree, leading to more and more frustration from Chelsea and Cole.
But it wasn’t just this that was heartbreaking - it was also painfully difficult realizing that Aubree is now old enough to understand what’s going on. So over and over again, Aubree realized that her own father couldn’t or didn’t want to spend time with her.
And that’s still not it for Chelsea’s difficulties! At the center of this season is one more hardship: her battle with anxiety!
Chelsea started speaking out about her anxiety this season, and it came to a head when she was preparing for an event to promote her new clothing line.
Unfortunately, Chelsea’s anxiety seems to be getting debilitating, and she seems to be struggling with the decision to seek professional treatment for it, instead relying on the likes of Cole and non-psychologist Dr. Drew for advice. And during the reunion, she opened up about just how intense it’s been getting.
During one of her panic attacks, Chelsea revealed, “There was a point where [her] friend was driving her to the emergency room!”
Although she can laugh about it now, at the time, she feared for her life. “I was like, ‘I’m going to die. Cole better not f*cking move on.’”
She shared, “I got my heart checked. I was getting blood tests constantly. I didn’t want to be alone with the kids because I was sure I was going to drop dead and they’d be home alone.”
She shared that she had panic attacks every single day for “weeks.”
Chelsea seems to be in a much better place. “I want to tell people what’s helped me because I don’t want them to feel what I’ve felt,” Chelsea shared.
We’re so happy to hear that Chelsea is in a better place now!
