Amber Portwood from Teen Mom was arrested and jailed early on the morning of July 5 on felony charges of domestic battery.
She was previously arrested in 2010 on domestic violence charges after having a fight with her first baby daddy, Gary Shirley, but this time around the victim was her current boyfriend Andrew Glennon.
Radar Online reported that Andrew was holding their one-year-old son when the incident occurred.
“Officers spoke to the male victim, who stated his live-in-girlfriend and he were having a disagreement,” a spokesperson for the police told the outlet. “During wich time [Amber Portwood]…assaulted him, while he was holding their one-year-old child.”
The police told Radar that the case will be turned over to the Indiana Department of Child services “as standard procedure” in cases that involve children.
Amber has since been released from jail. Her court date was originally scheduled for this morning, but was moved to Wednesday, July 10. She was released on bail, but it was not her family that helped her.
A spokesperson for the county jail in Indiana told Radar Online that Amber was released in the afternoon on July 6. She was released on a $2,000 bond, and a woman who was unrelated to the Teen Mom star posted bail.
Radar also released the 911 report from the incident.
Andrew was the one to alert authorities of the altercation, texting them to claim that his and his son’s life were in danger. The dispatcher alerted the Indianapolis police department, which resulted in the arrest of Amber.
Gary Shirley took to Twitter on Friday to share his opinions on the incident.
“My prayers are with @AmberLPortwood, Andrew, & most importantly baby James, idk any of the particulars, however I am thinking of them,” he tweeted. “And for all the questions and concerns Leas was/is currently camping with her best friend.”
Amber had previously lost custody of her daughter when she was dealing with her drug related issues. Gary is still the primary caregiver of their daughter.
Amber recently opened up about her relationship with Gary, and how he is starting to play a larger role in her family. She told Us Weekly that her baby daddy is “Uncle Gary” to her son, who was fathered by Andrew.
“It was good to feel like you’re able to mesh that life together because its hard when you have a new partner…Everybody gets along so it’s great,” she said.
This really is taking co-parenting a step farther! Amber believes Andrew is her soulmate, saying that “he’s a beautiful person” and she doesn’t “see [herself] with anybody else.”
As for future babies, she “definitely might have another kid with him.”
Those plans may be put on hold pending the outcome of this incident.

She is afraid her son might not be coping with his emotions properly, adding that “he doesn’t know how to face these feelings, which means he’s burying them somewhere.”
Maci was also upset the Ryan didn’t make time for his son while he was incarcerated.
She said that her son’s father never reached out to Bentley, even though he has his own cell phone.
Speaking to Ryan’s parents, Maci said the whole situation has her “tired as f**k.”
