We were sad to see Javi Marroquin and Kailyn Lowry of Teen Mom 2 split up; Kailyn claimed she was just not ready to have another kid, and Javi really wanted to grow his family. Now that they're divorced, Kailyn is surprisingly pregnant with a new man who we still don't know the name of. But we wanted to take just one more look back at this former couple that we loved to watch.

Javi came about when Kailyn was split from Jo during a group date where Kailyn and friends headed out to the bowling alley. Javi made his first appearance on Season 3, Episode 10.

What we don't know is that they already knew each other. Kailyn was working at a clothing store when Javi walked in. She convinced him to buy an expensive piece of clothing. She explained, "He looked about 15 so I assumed his dad was paying for it."
He was older than that, and he came back the next day to ask Kailyn out for ice cream; He remembered that she said she just had her wisdom teeth out.
Out of the Friendzone

Kailyn wasn't totally into Javi just yet though. She kept him as a friend for months. But she decided to give him a shot after he drive all the way to New York just to see her while she was filming a reunion show.
Getting Scared

Kailyn revealed that she suffered a devastating rape, and she refused to date Javi because she was still reeling from the experience. She was afraid that she couldn't let someone close to her again.
She distanced herself from Javi after his grand gesture.
Letting Him In

Kailyn and Javi grew close again over the next few months, and Kailyn decided to let her guard down. She let Javi meet her son Isaac, and she started falling for him after she saw how kind Javi really was.
Physical Abuse

Kailyn blew up at Javi while the MTV cameras were rolling, and viewers witnessed her hitting him in the face while her friend was over. But Kailyn has admitted that this wasn't an isolated incident.
Hitting a Roadblock

Kailyn had feelings for ladies at points in her life, and she got intimate with her friend Aria. Aria decided to tell Javi that Kailyn would leave him eventually. He got so upset that he drove hours away to his friend's house. Kailyn followed him, but his friends refused to let her in. She said, "It was easily the worst night of my life. I went home to cry myself to sleep, wishing the mess would disappear and still hearing their screams of ‘F**k Isaac’ ringing in my ears."
The First Wedding

Javi decided to come back to Kailyn, but Aria went to the tabloids to profit from her story about Kailyn. Javi and Kailyn wanted to combat this bad press by getting married, so the fled to Las Vegas. But they decided to call it off.
Army Man

Javi got his dream job in the armed forces, but that would mean a lot of time away from Kailyn. He proposed to her, and they decided to get a courthouse wedding before he went away to bootcamp.
Baby on the Way

Javi and Kailyn became pregnant with Lincoln and they decided to have that big wedding while she was seven months pregnant. They got married at The Camden Aquarium on September 21, 2013.
Daddy

Lincoln was born on November 16, 2013. Javi was a very proud dad, and he was a great stepfather to Isaac. Javi took his son on a trip to Guatemala in 2017.
A Little Time

Kailyn realized that she got pregnant when she traveled all the way to Texas to see Javi on his base where he was doing bootcamp. She would soon be a very lonely woman with a new baby.
Growing Apart

Kailyn believes that Javi's absence due to his deployment after she suffered a miscarriage created a chasm that they just couldn't mend. Javi agrees that he just wasn't there enough for Kailyn, and things fell apart.
The Big Split

Javi and Kailyn went back and forth on social media, but she announced their divorce in May 2016. Javi claimed that he believed she may have been unfaithful while he was gone.
Being Friends
