So as we eagerly await Kailyn’s response to the pregnancy rumors (maybe there will be another surprise baby?!), Cory Wharton and Taylor Selfridge announced the gender of their baby!
The couple’s pregnancy so far has not been without drama. Shortly after they announced their pregnancy, Taylor opened up about losing one of the embryos. “Ok I didn’t think it would be a big deal to take a break from social media but apparently it is because everyone seems to think I’m missing now please don’t believe this stuff,” Taylor shared in her Instagram story.
“I’m doing just fine, I’m happy, healthy, our baby is healthy.”
She went on:
“A few days after the announcement we found out we were supposed to actually have twins, I ended up losing one of them.
She added, “But on the positive side, my baby is healthy! And I’m 19 weeks now.”
Taylor then clarified, “So now when I don’t post on social media. I didn’t go missing. I also want to say that it wasn’t about the loss of a twin, it was me not wanting to stress myself out too much over social media! I wanted to make sure my baby is as healthy as possible.”
“I don’t like that people are calling it a miscarriage now. It’s called vanishing twin syndrome or disappearing twin syndrome,” Taylor wrote on Instagram. She added, “We went in for a check-up on our baby and they had found a separate empty sac so we didn’t know that we had twins before that.”
She shared that her current goal is minimizing stress during her pregnancy.
“I was so stressed out during the first trimester that I was afraid it was my fault that happened and that’s what I struggle with now,” she wrote. She added, “Our baby is very healthy, we have no genetic issues to worry about after testing and we’re very happy about that.
The couple has been fairly quiet on social media, but they look happy as ever in their gender reveal!
And…IT’S A GIRL!
Looks like Cory will be the father of two little girls, and Ryder is going to be a big sister! The couple was surrounded by family and friends for the reveal, including Cheyenne.
Congrats to the happy couple, and we can’t wait for the birth!
