She's here to stay!
For the first nearly ten years it was on the air, the Teen Mom franchise had surprising stability when it comes to its cast members. Up until very recently, MTV retained all of the original cast that had signed on, and had even added some cast members throughout the years. Within the past few months, all of that has changed.
From cast members threatening to quit to others being fired, the franchise has seen more shake-ups in the past few months than in the all of the years preceding it. If fans have learned one thing from all these changes, it’s that you can never take a cast member change on face value.
This cast member is proving exactly why! After she confirmed that she was quitting the show, she’s apparently had a change of heart and will once again be a cast member.
New Girls on the Block
Although boyfriends, partners, and baby daddies may come and go, the original eight girls of Teen Mom OG & 2 were here to stay. At least, that’s how it seemed. From Farrah Abraham getting fired to the addition of Briana DeJesus, it’s clear that MTV is willing to change things up now and then. Recently, they did that on a major scale by adding an entirely new group of girls to the lineup.
MTV’s newest addition to the Teen Mom franchise, Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant, had a successful debut. It showed girls from their mid teens to their early twenties as they struggled with unexpected pregnancies. Even though the cast was new, there was something very familiar about it: the endless supplies of drama.
Among the most dramatic cast members is Shenandoah “Shen” Williams, the mother of Ashley Jones’s baby daddy, Bar. From making huge fights at Ashley’s baby shower to slandering her across social media, Shen has made quite the name for herself among fans, and not in a good way.
Once MTV aired the first few episodes of the show, things seemed to get even worse behind the scenes. In fact, Ashley ended up filing a restraining order against Shen, according to reports by Starcasm. “On March 10 Shen showed up to a surprise party for my fiance uninvited with 2 other men,” the restraining order read. “When asked to leave by security she refused and proceeded to verbally and physically attack me.” Ashley also reported that she was harmed or injured because of the harassment. She went on to file a cease and desist letter to Shen, asking her to stop speaking about her on social media. It wasn’t long before Shen decided she had enough.
“To sell out your mom and whole family for a show is pathetic,” she raged on social media. “like i said i quit this fake show cause they knew she threatened to hurt me and then really came for me at his bday party.”
But now Shen has had a change of heart, deciding to return to the show!
