It’s unfortunate, but the truth of the matter is that a large amount of the Teen Mom cast has had experiences with drug use, some more seriously than others. Even though many of them are now clean, there are still some that have trouble with drugs, and this recent scandal suggests that.

Amber and Matt’s relationship has been rocky and scandalous from the very start, but the fact that drugs have often become involved certainly doesn’t make things better.
Even though Matt has claimed to be clean numerous times, it seems that he’s being caught with drugs again and again, and this scandal just adds to the list.

The drug scandal occured in this season of Teen Mom OG when Amber’s now ex-fiance, Matt, gave Cat Xanax while they were on a trip to New York City. This is after he insisted that he was finally clean.
Amber was enraged, and it led to her saying she wouldn’t marry him.

Months later, Cate has come forward with information that puts this drug scandal into new light.
In a sneak peek of the reunion, Dr. Drew said that he was worried about Cate ever since he saw the scene where she was offered Xanax, and Cate explained the circumstances.
She said it was the day that Nova was starting school without her, and she had a panic attack as a result. Matt gave her a bar and told her to “keep this between [him and her],” but Cate didn’t take it.
