While the Teen Mom OG dad Ryan Edwards is currently in rehab after his substance abuse issues, it has a lot of people wondering how it all started in the first place. Fortunately you won’t have to wonder any longer, as his ex girlfriend Dalis Connell opened up about the situation with RadarOnline.

She said that she found out about his drug issues when one of Ryan’s co-workers came and talked to her about his weird behavior. “One of his friends was on pills and he tried it one night when we first started dating. He started taking those while I was in class. I ran track in college and would be gone all day and he was bored,” she said.

The co-worker told Dalis that his constant fidgeting and scratching all the time was signs of someone using drugs. She didn’t believe her. After eight months of dating, he finally confessed to her.
“I walked outside and caught him in the middle of a drug deal and he confessed everything. It got worse and worse,” she said.
