It’s finally fall! Any parent with young children knows what that means: back to school. All of the Teen Mom cast members are celebrating milestones with their children, from starting kindergarten to going back to college. No matter who your favorite cast member is — or who you can’t stand to watch — these clips from MTV are sure to melt anyone’s heart.
If you’re still in denial that summer is over, check out these adorable back-to-school moments from the show that will get you in the right mindset. They’ll remind you that, all drama aside, the Teen Moms are, first and foremost, just that: moms!

Best Mommy Ever

Even though the moms are all putting their children through school, one cast member in particular is experiencing the other side of school. Leah Messer has gone back to college to finish her degree, so she’ll be learning at the same time that her daughters are!
In the new clip, she gushes about her love for her children as she recalls her first day back. She asks, “How was school today, girls?” And her three little ones, Ali, Aleeah, and Gracie, chime, “Good!”
Leah says, “Ask me what I did today? I went to school!” The clip pans to Leah walking down the halls of her college, and sitting in her class. She recalls, “I had a writing sample I had to do, and it was on my goals. And you know what my goal was? My goal is to be the best mommy that I can possibly be.” Leah had previously expressed concern about returning to school and how it would affect her ability to spend time with her daughters. Although she seemed worry that she would return to her old ways or fall into what she called “neglect,” it looks like things are on the right track, as Leah has her girls on her mind all the time.
Isaac’s Big Day

As for Kailyn, she’s celebrating a different milestone: Isaac graduating from kindergarten. It seems like just yesterday that she and Jo were trying to figure out how to co-parent their newborn son, but now he’s already six years old, and has finished kindergarten. She says, “Today, Isaac graduated from kindergarten, so we’re all taking him out to celebrate.” The family goes out to a restaurant with the entire family, including Jo and Vee.
Jo gushes, “There’s a lot of amazing moments we’ve had with you, bud. I’m so proud.” Kailyn even lets Isaac facetime with his former stepfather, Javi, who says, “Congratulations! You graduated kindergarten already!” Even though Kailyn is constantly under fire for having so many baby daddies, it’s clear that her sons have a lot of sources of support.
