Is she a "gold digger"?
Finding a long-lasting relationship is pretty rare if you’re a member of the Teen Mom cast. Some of the stars move from partner to partner so quickly that it can be hard for even the most dedicated fans to keep up. That said, they tend to have a bit better track record when marriage is involved.
Enter: Ryan Edwards and Mackenzie Standifer, a couple for whom that might not be the case. After a mere three months of marriage there are already rumors that Ryan has cheated on his new wife, and that they may be considering filing for divorce. Now, fans are wondering if Mackenzie is planning to capitalize off of their relationship or if maybe that was her intention all along.

Splitting Up?

Ryan Edwards, ex of Maci Bookout, tied the knot with his wife Mackenzie Standifer a mere three months ago. Fans those who have been following their relationship know that they’ve been struggling since day one. In fact, Ryan checked into rehab just after their wedding for his substance abuse and when the episode of their wedding aired, it was revealed that Ryan was high on Xanax during the ceremony. That’s probably not the best best way to start a new marriage.
Now, after rumors that Ryan cheated on Mackenzie using Tinder, things may be even worse than they seem between the two. The Ashley reports that Ryan has moved out of his home with Mackenzie. According to one of their sources, Ryan “has fled the house that they share, making it hard for the film crews to get in touch with him.”
A different source even claimed that Ryan was planning to file for divorce. “He did not just say it in passing,” the source told The Ashley. “It was mentioned multiple times to multiple people on the crew,” they continued.
Cashing In?

Now, fans are looking at Mackenzie with a highly critical eye. Mackenzie recently posted an advertisement for a Lash Elixer Kit, a product for which Farrah has also done advertisements. Fans went off in the comments almost immediately, accusing Mackenzie of using Ryan for his money.
User thr0w_that_ass_in_a_circle wrote, “Gross. She’s been a two faced gold digger from the start, and now that Ryan’s run out on her and MTV won’t buy her and her friends a vacation, she’s doing Insta ads for a quick buck.” User hannahmbadger agreed, “Ryan is filing for divorce so she scrambling trying to stay relevant.” Another user, jessica_christine_x, wrote, “did mtv kick you off so now you have to find new ways to make money?? ? & you know you have a bunch of followers now since you squeezed into Ryan’s life. perfect promoting advantage. you are such a gold digging b*tch.”
For readers who are shocked at the accusations and hate flying at Mackenzie, there were a number of commentors who stood up in her defense. User andiemae0815, for example, wrote, “B*tch. Sadass. Disgusting. Gold digger. Nasty. NONE OF YOU KNOW THIS WOMAN. I’m not saying she’s perfect. Hell, she MIGHT be some of those things. But the fact you’d speak to someone like that you don’t know says more about your class than hers.” User _jcaitlynnn agreed, “Just because she’s married to Ryan or is on MTV has nothing to do with her selling this stuff this is just extra cash, people I know that are single an have no relation to MTV [sell] this stuff so anyone can do it, it’s not just cause she’s on TV y’all get a f**king life an take a lesson from your parents ‘if you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything at all’ but seeing all these comments I’m assuming your parents didn’t teach y’all any sort of manners.”
