It’s no secret that Maci Bookout is one of the favorites of the Teen Mom cast. There’s a simple explanation for it: over the years, she’s stayed true to what she believes in, puts her family first, and upholds her strong morals. Of course, there will always be those who aren’t fans of hers, but in general, she’s a pretty popular cast member… But this recent update may just shake things up.
Maci has recently revealed that she’ll be stripping down to her birthday suit for her next TV show appearance. It’s a bold choice, especially for Maci, who has been so conservative in the past. Now fans and her co-stars alike are calling her out for her plan, and some are even accusing her of being a hypocrite!

Teen Mom has been running for nearly a decade now, and as the show continues on, many of the cast have started to find side jobs or appearances to pursue as well. From Marriage Boot Camp to Celebrity Big Brother, it’s not uncommon for the girls to go on another reality show between filming. So it’s not a surprise that Maci Bookout announced she’ll be part of another show on the side. What is a surprise is the show she settled on!

Maci shocked many of her fans when she revealed she’ll be a member of the cast of the celebrity edition of Naked and Afraid. The show will feature celebrities who try their luck against the elements in a televised wilderness survival. As the title suggests, the twist is that they’re naked from head to toe.
“Maci spent a great deal of time training for the show before she left,” a source told The Ashley’s Reality Roundup. “She got to bring a few extra ‘personal’ items than the typical contestant on the show, but other than that, she didn’t get a lot of special treatment.”

Total Hypocrite?

After Teen Mom took a break while Amber Portwood was in prison, it returned with a twist. Instead of following four cast members, it would only follow three. MTV had decided to sever ties with Farrah Abraham, who, at the time, had just released her first adult video.
After only a few episodes, MTV realized Farrah was too important to cut out entirely, and they decided to bring her back. But Maci Bookout simply wasn’t having it.
She initially threatened to quit the show entirely, and then she said that she refused to let Bentley film. Her reasoning was that she didn’t want him appearing on the same show as an adult actress. Of course, she eventually lifted this rule, but she made it very clear that she did not approve of Farrah’s decision. Now Farrah finds Maci’s choice to go naked pretty hypocritical.
“The irony of this is hilarious,” Farrah said in a statement to The Ashley. “Hopefully she has fun on her p0rnographic show; [it] sounds tragic,” she went on to say.
Many fans also think that Maci’s choice is hypocritical. “What the h*ll? She gave Farrah sh*t for doing p0rn and banning Bentley from filming. Now she did a naked TV show?! Lost respect for her,” wrote one fan on Twitter. Another wrote, “I like Maci but that’s a bit hypocritical. Isn’t she worried that Bentley’s classmates will talk about his mom being on ‘that show where they’re naked’…?”
But not everyone was so convinced.
