All On Camera!
Even though this season of Teen Mom OG is only a few episodes in, it’s already clear it’s going to be a doozy of a season for Maci Bookout. She’s facing a huge amount of opposition from her ex Ryan Edwards and his family for denying them access to her son Bentley after Ryan’s significant drug addiction came to light.
Right now, it’s clear that Maci has enough on her plate as her decisions are questioned by the entirety of her baby daddy’s family. But now it looks like the one-time fan favorite might have to start defending herself against fans who are upset with an action that may be putting her children in danger.

Although she didn’t always have such a level headed outlook, Maci Bookout has recently become a fan favorite for her no-nonsense behavior and the way she prioritizes her children’s safety above everything else. Even though she’s been feuding with her baby daddy Ryan Edwards and her family, most fans side with Maci when it comes to their battle. Even though the Edwards family might not like it, many fans believe that Maci keeping Bentley away from Ryan during his recovery from addiction is in her son’s best interest. But even Maci’s diehard fans would have a difficult time defending her recent behavior.
On a recent episode of Teen Mom, Ryan’s father Larry threatened to reveal a secret that Maci was “keeping from the world.“
“One day y’all are gonna know the d–n truth [about Maci],” he threatened. “You’re gonna know the d–n truth. And so will Bentley.”
Even though many fans are convinced that Larry is all talk and doesn’t actually have any dirt on Maci, there’s something Maci can’t deny being guilty of. After all, she did it right in front of the cameras. And many fans were disappointed by the fact that this isn’t the first time Maci has put her children in danger.
In the season premiere of Teen Mom OG Maci is shown chatting with her children while she drives them. Many fans were upset to see that, not for the first time, Maci was texting while she was on the road.

Maci has been slammed along with many of her co-stars for texting and driving. But what Maci did next had fans infuriated.
Bentley asked Maci to look at something while driving, and, ironically, Maci tells him that she can’t take her eyes off the road — while she’s staring at her phone and driving!
Fans were far from happy with Maci’s actions, and they took to Twitter to sound off about it. “So I love Maci but texting and driving with two kids in the car seems like an issue,” wrote user pinkis4gangstas. “Maci: “i cant look, im driving”…. as shes f–king texting. With 2 kids in the car. Stupid af,” agreed A_Sud_.
One fan called on MTV to air a PSA about the dangers of texting and driving because of Maci and her co-stars actions. “I would love to see a standard @mtv PSA on @TeenMom about the affects of texting and driving. These girls are so programmed to do it on their own they don’t even care they do it when ancamera is on them. The kids in the car and everything. Sad,” wrote user TinaBaarspul.
There were some who even compared Maci’s actions to the incident when Ryan was filmed driving while so high he couldn’t keep his eyes open. “Ryan is drugging and driving and Maci is texting and driving. Poor Bentley,” wrote user lilyandlucasj.
