He's pulling out the big guns!
Every Teen Mom fan has their own set of theories about what’s really going on behind the scenes. After all, we know from experience that the cast members often try to and succeed at keeping some pretty significant secrets in the closet. At the end of the day, the only people who truly know the situation are the people who are in it.
That’s why when Ryan Edwards’ father, Larry, hit Maci with this serious threat, it immediately got fans buzzing. Larry is clearly no longer a fan of Maci at all, and, during the last episode of Teen Mom OG, he cryptically suggested that he knows a lot of dark secrets about her.
During what amounted to a Maci hate session hosted by Larry and Mimi Jen, Ryan’s dad threatened to put all of her secrets out there. Even though Ryan interrupted and begged him not to leak whatever his dirt was, Larry threatened, “The truth will come out.”
So, what is the truth that Larry is hinting at? From hookups to drugs to child neglect, there might be much more to Maci than meets the eye.

It looks like there’s an unexpected bombshell set to go off in the Teen Mom community. Instead of coming from an external source, it looks like it’ll be an insider who has the secret: Ryan Edwards’ father, Larry.
Larry claims — or threatens — “One day ya’ll are gonna know the damn truth [about Maci]. You’re gonna know the damn truth. And so will Bentley.”
It’s no wonder that Larry would feel protective about Ryan and his grandson Bentley. If he thinks that Maci is doing something that would put them in harm or damage their relationship, it’s no question that he would try to stall it. Many fans wondered if this means there are demons in Maci’s past that would change the way fans look at her entirely.
Some thought that Larry could be hinting at Maci and Ryan’s relationship. Had it gone on longer than they publicized?
Reddit user Goodlittlewitch summed up this possibility, writing:
“I’m wondering if the ‘big secret’ or whatever isn’t that Maci still ‘wanted’ Ryan even after she first got together with Taylor. Because to them that would seem like a huge, earth shattering secret, even though I think it was semi obvious and I don’t think that she entirely gave up on Ryan until her and Taylor were already semi serious.”
But they added, “I think that’s almost typical of a situation like Maci’s but I could see his parents acting like it was a bigger deal than it is.”
Drug Abuse

Not everyone thinks that this is a threat about Maci’s romantic relationships though. Some thought that Larry might even try to pin Ryan’s drug use on her.
“Larry gave me the feeling that he knew something that would change our opinion about Maci completely,” wrote user Khaleezie. “Like ‘Maci experimented with drugs herself’ or ‘Maci was the one that introduced (soft)drugs to Ryan’. Anyway, I think there is no such shocking truth’, at most [something] like ‘Maci is much more mean irl’or ‘Maci herself smoked pot for a while.’”
Considering some fans theorize that Maci and Taylor have substance abuse issues, this might not be a stretch.
Drug abuse and secret relationships were just the beginning of the theories though.
Neglect?

Others thought that Larry might accuse Maci of neglect. During the episode, Maci and Taylor ask Bentley to take his younger sister Jayde into the house so they can discuss Ryan’s addiction.
However, Reddit user snowqueen96 saw it differently. “Did anyone catch Ryan saying that Bentley gets forced into watching his younger siblings when he was complaining about Maci giving him chores?” they wrote.
“Then later it shows Maci and Taylor in the hot tub, pawning a wet Jade off on Bentley to go play in his room. Was he expected to change her out of her bathing suit too? I’m thinking that’s what Larry meant by ‘the truth will come out.’ That Maci gets sauced and expects her oldest to babysit the youngest 2 for her.”
This theory didn’t convince many commenters though. User _trashley wrote, “Maci literally commented how Bentley was coming during her and Taylor’s convo about Ryan. It was pretty clear she sent them away so they could continue their adult conversation.”
So if it’s not cheating, drugs, or neglect, what is Maci guilty of?
