Baby Weight Blues
When your entire celebrity status hinges upon having children, the way that you adjust to baby weight is going to constantly be in the public eye. While some of the Moms have complained about it and discussed it publicly, some of them don’t seem to struggle with the baby weight at all. Since Kailyn Lowry just finished her third pregnancy, it’s no wonder that this has come back onto her radar again.
Even though she’s taken different measures in the past, this time, it seems like she’s well on her way to bouncing back. She’s showed off her post-birth bod proudly, and fans are pretty impressed with her quick results.
Kailyn Lowry is no stranger to baby weight and now that she’s given birth to Baby Lo, it’s pretty obvious that she’s an expert at dropping weight by now.
She’s experimented with other ways to adjust her curves in the past, including plastic surgery. Much like her co-stars, Kailyn has been worked on by celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Miami in the past. In addition to a Brazilian butt lift, she had lip injections and other facial procedures. Kailyn opened up about her relationship with her body in her memoir, Hustle and Heart.
“For years I struggled with eating disorders, and I was extremely self-conscious about my weight,” she wrote in the book. “I’d committed so thoroughly to working out and maintaining a healthy diet, but it was clear there was only so much I could do to change the shape of my body.”
Unlike many other stars, Kailyn has been perfectly open about her cosmetic procedures. “My decision to get plastic surgery came down to one simple thing: I’m human,” she said in Hustle and Heart. “I care how I look. I knew that being satisfied with my outer appearance would give me the confidence I needed to face the world head on. For me, the things that I wanted to change about my body were nagging little distractions from the deeper missions I wanted to work on.”
Now, it seems like she’s bouncing back from Baby Lo’s birth through more natural means.
Or, at the very least, she’s going for a less-invasive route in getting her bod back. She recently posted on Instagram about her routine. She wrote, “Now that Baby Lo is here I started #Waisttraining again w/ @Colombianwaist to get my pre baby body back I am currently wearing mine 4-5 hrs daily then I will gradually increase to 8 hrs daily. So far I have been seeing great results. It takes consistency!”
Not all of her fans were convinced that this was a good method, or a healthy message to put out to her fans. One commenter, stephanies_story707, wrote “Only way to loose weight is to eat healthy and workout. Waist training is pointless.” Others were concerned about the health associations with waist training, like user dianalane01, who wrote, “watch out, I’ve heard this can actually restrict important blood flow especially postpartum and can do serious damage, hope you wait long enough with drs ok, you are beautiful no matter what!” User laurajeane5 chimed in, “This is extremely dangerous to your internal organs. So stupid! You guys know this is how she makes money right? She gets paid for promoting this crap on instagram, they all do it. This is totally bad for you but she’s on here making money off of something that could really hurt her own fans….pretty low.”
Others like survive__n_conquer weren’t so upset: “Why in the FUNK are you so gorgeous. Marry me.” Users jm23drake and mactavishlovesthebeach chimed in, “Just amazing you are beautiful,” and “Your great sweetie im glad ur so real.”
