She "freaked out!"
Disasters have a way of putting everything into perspective and making it clear what’s really important in life. When they are as unpredictable as earthquakes, they can be upsetting and even traumatizing. Now, Kailyn Lowry is opening up about her firsthand experience with an earthquake that struck her hometown last week!
She’s updated fans with the aftermath of the natural event, but it’s clear that it wasn’t the easiest thing to get through. The star recalled just how much she “freaked out” during the event!

Shocking Earthquake

Although Delaware may be safe from most hurricanes and wildfires, it isn’t entirely out of harm’s way when it comes to natural disasters. Kailyn Lowry was having a normal day — likely relaxing now that Teen Mom 2 is on its season break — when the disaster hit.
She recalls that it was an ordinary day, and she was having some work done around the house. “I had a leak last week and the plumber and contractor were out here fixing it,” the mother-of-three wrote on Twitter. “Well i was freaking out about it and having all kinds of anxiety but really they said sh-t like that happens more than i would know. They found the problem and started fixing it.” That’s when the earthquake hit.
“So yesterday I’m home and the house shook for a few seconds,” she recalled. That’s when she recalls running in horror to see what the source of the shaking was. She even thought that her washing machine might fall through the ceiling!

That’s when she realized that what was happening was actually an earthquake. Luckily, she updated fans that “Everyone is fine.”
Kailyn is far from the only one affected by the earthquake. Among the rest of those who felt the quake are Kailyn’s ex, Jo Rivera, who also tweeted about the quake. “Earthquake in Delaware?” he tweeted. “Am I dreaming? Who else felt this?” He then added, “We good, just surprised.”
The next season of Teen Mom 2 is currently filming, so there’s a good chance that this moment will have been caught on camera. We’ll get to see Kailyn’s reaction exactly how it went down!
Whether or not she wants to admit it, experiencing a natural disaster is just one more thing that Kailyn has in common with Briana DeJesus. (Of course, the other thing they have in common is having a relationship with Javi Marroquin!) Briana also tweeted about her experience during Hurricane Irma while she lived in Kissimmee, Florida. “So before the weather wasn’t bad, but now it’s kicked in and I’m scared. Wow outside looks crazy,” she wrote. She later added, “Thank God we still have power and no flooding or anything crazy near us.”

Although at first it seemed that Kailyn and Briana were BFFs after Briana was added to the cast, something big soon came between them: Kail’s ex-husband Javi Marroquin!
Briana recently shared this snap of her cozying up with her new boyfriend. She changed the caption of the photograph several times, first captioning it “#iwon” and later changing it to “Thank you for being such an amazing man to not only myself but to Stella and Nova #yeaididwin.”
Kailyn shot back by tweeting, “#iwon more time with my son.”
