There’s no question that the Teen Mom cast members are celebrities. With millions of viewers watching their shows and thousands of people interacting with them on social media every single day, the girls are constantly in the public eye. That said, it’s not every day that a reality star gets up in the face of an A-list celebrity, especially not such a well-known household name.
If any of the cast members are going to have the chops to call out an A-lister, though, it would be Kailyn. (Well, maybe right after Farrah.)
Kailyn vs. Jessica Alba
Being on Teen Mom definitely adds a huge amount of credit to your celebrity persona. Along with thousands of social media followers, millions of people will be tuning into your show for each episode to keep up with your life. However, it still doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re on the radar of A-list celebrities.
That didn’t seem to bother Kailyn Lowry much though when she decided to take to Twitter to slam Jessica Alba, who is a huge Hollywood star and a household name that most Americans are at least familiar with. When you’re as big of a star as Jessica Alba, you might not even know Kailyn Lowry… Well, until now.
For those of you who don’t know, Jessica Alba co-founded The Honest Company, which makes numerous products, including baby wipes. Well, it looks like Kailyn Lowry was a customer at one point, but after she had this experience, she probably won’t be.
She took to Twitter to voice her complaints about Jessica’s company. She wrote, “Used a @skiphop wipes case + @Honest wipes… what’s with the mold? @jessicaalba.” She included a picture of the wipes, which are riddled with dark brown splotches… not exactly what you’d want to use to wipe your baby.
Unfortunately for Jessica, she probably won’t have a lot to fight Kailyn back with because this isn’t the first time that The Honest Company has come under fire for the state of their wipes, including a possible mold contamination. Co-founder Christoper Gavigan said, “Recently it came to our attention during routine quality testing that certain lots of our wipes were not meeting our high standards. A recent quality audit concluded that there is the potential for the presence of mold in certain lots of our wipes resulting in staining. The aesthetics are unacceptable and we believe any of the affected products are not likely to cause adverse health consequences.”
Even though we would all like to see it, the chances of Kailyn going head-to-head with Jessica Alba about her products are pretty low. That said, she is definitely going to affect Jessica’s brand, considering how outraged some of her followers were in the comments of her post. Twitter user CathleenSeguin wrote, “The issue with the mold was supposed to be addressed and fixed but yet more people are coming out about mold being in their wipes !”
User at83ta1 agreed, “Gross!! I’ve heard there are some law suits. She probably should be shut down by now. I won’t buy her stuff.” User JulieZski3 chimed in, “Oh hell no! Don’t use honest products. I’ve heard so many bad things.”
