Holidays are a time for family, togetherness, and celebration — but when you have a blended family like Kailyn Lowry does, it can make things a little tricky. Since her three children have three different families including baby daddies, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, there’s really no way her children would be able to spend time with all of their families at once. Kailyn has made it clear that her immediate family is incredibly important to her, and that she’d put that before anything else, but now it looks like she’s leaving some family members dissatisfied.
It’s been a while since we’ve heard much drama from Kailyn’s third baby daddy, Chris Lopez, but that doesn’t mean his family is out of the picture. Now, they’re throwing some serious shade at Kailyn over her parenting style.

All of the Teen Mom cast members had their own personal way of celebrating Thanksgiving, but, like most Americans, they all put family front and center. Kailyn is now the mother to three adorable little boys, and she decided to give them an incredible experience by taking them to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
She shared this snap of Isaac, Lincoln, and Lux watching the parade on Thanksgiving day, adding only hearts as a caption. It’s clear that her sons had an amazing time at the iconic event, but some people were upset by the way Kailyn celebrated Thanksgiving… specifically, Chris Lopez’s family.
In true reality star style, the family decided to take their complaints public. “Family is so important. So sad Lux didn’t get to visit with all his cousins for the holiday. Hope that changes soon, we miss him,” one member of Chris’ family commented on the shot.
“You have my number. You could have texted,” Kail shot back immediately.
This isn’t the first time that Chris’ family has gotten into fights with the star. When Lux was born, The Hollywood Gossip reported that Chris’s family was urging him to fight for custody of his son. “Chris has no desire to try and take his kid away from Kailyn, but his mom is concerned about visitation rights,” a source revealed.
Apparently, she doesn’t like “the fact that [Lowry] has three children from three fathers.” Instead of staying with Kailyn, “Chris’ mom really wants Baby Lo to be raised by her family and standards,” according to the source.

Even though Chris’ family is longing to spend time with Lux, it seems like he isn’t spending any time with Kailyn these days. Chris has reportedly not signed the paternity papers, acknowledging that he is Lux’s father. Kailyn has moved past any hopes of him co-parenting with her, since she recently filed to change Lux’s last name from Lopez to Lowry. In the meantime, Kailyn has recently announced that she’s dating someone new.
Fans were split about whether they sided with Kailyn or Chris’ family on this issue. Reddit user wiredmomm wrote, “It isn’t [Kailyn’s] responsibility to make sure [L]ux sees his father’s family. That is Chris’s job. I get that she was in NYC on the actual day but his family could have worked around it instead of being passive aggressive on Instagram.”
“Why should she send her infant to a home where his father wont even claim him??? They need to talk to Chris – not Kail,” user 221bBaker1 wrote.
But user wadamelin disagreed. “This woman seems to be very kind so I don’t think she had any ill intentions I think she genuinely just wanted to see the baby. It’s sad,” they offered.
User KennyC18 agreed, “Like you had a baby with this guy the very least you can do is be civil for your child’s sake. I just don’t get it.
