Jenelle's Ex Says He "Wasn't In Love" With Her

The Teen Mom fanbase recently came to a screeching halt when the unexpected happened. After years of staying loyal and staunchly defending her husband, Jenelle Evans revealed that she was filing for divorce from her husband, David Eason.

Since then, fans, news outlets, and the stars themselves have been trying to piece together what went down between them. But it seems that there may be something even more complicated at play: was their marriage never real to begin with?

Jenelle Evans broke the news that she would be divorcing David Eason on Oct. 31. She shared the update on Instagram, explaining a bit of what happened to make them call it off.

“I’ve mostly kept off social media the past few days because I’ve been focused on making some big life decisions,” she began.

“I’ve lived my life on camera since I was 17 years old. And a lot of it hasn’t been pretty. But its been my life,” she continued. “Like anyone else I want what’s best for my kids and I want to be happy. With time away from Teen Mom I’ve started to look at my life differently and I know I need to make changes.

“I’m starting that now,” she wrote. Jenelle then continued to explain what is happening with her family.

The kids and I have moved away from David.
Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that’s what is best for me, and for my kids.
Today I’ve filed papers to start that process.
I appreciate the support from everybody who has asked how I am. Me and the kids are doing great. We need some time to be together. But you’ll hear from us again soon.
