Only Jenelle Evans’s biggest fans know that she’s not an only sibling; she’s got a brother named Colin and a sister named Ashleigh. It seems that they all had pretty bad rough-patches in their lives because of Barbara’s relationship with their father and a big move in their formative years. In her new book, Jenelle decided to comment on her sister’s life. While it sounds a lot like her own, she still doesn’t approve.

Jenelle admittedly hasn’t made the best choices in her young life for herself, her family, or her innocent kids. She’s on a better path in life right now as she’s got a brand new home, she’s about to get married, and she’s on the road to regaining custody of her son Jace.
It’s hard to forget about her sketchy past of boyfriends, drugs, arrests, and multiple pregnancies though.
The Move

In her new memoir Read Between the Lines: From the Diary of a Teenage Mom, Jenelle decided to focus on her older sister Ashleigh for a bit and described how moving from Pennsylvania to North Carolina affected her.
Jenelle wrote, “We moved to North Carolina and never went back to Pennsylvania. She probably counts this as one of the points her life was ruined. She didn’t recover well from the move. Couldn’t make friends as easily as she did in Scranton. Never became as popular as she was back in our old home.”

Ashleigh needed a counselor to get through this difficult period in her life, and Jenelle sounded rather condescending about it. She wrote, “She continued her therapy visits and I am sure she had lots and lots to talk about in her now forever-changed life.”
Perhaps Jenelle felt like Ashleigh was receiving more attention at the time. Jenelle feels like even though Ashleigh was more beloved, she never found happiness…
