It's finally official!!
Today is a big day for Javi Marroquin and Briana DeJesus. After what seemed like ages of them flirting, hanging out, and chatting over social media, they’ve finally made it official. That’s right: Javi-Ana is real!
Javi is Kailyn Lowry’s ex husband. So, needless to say, his flirtatious relationship with his ex-wife’s co-star Briana was pretty controversial from the start. Many people didn’t expect Javi to actually date someone else in the Teen Mom 2 cast, but others couldn’t wait for Javi-Ana to finally be official.
We don’t think Kailyn will be particularly happy about this update… but Javi and Briana both seem to be thrilled!

Javi Marroquin and Briana DeJesus’s relationship began innocently, but what started as casual flirting and joking on social media soon evolved into something else entirely. Of course, they spent a good amount of time teasing fans about it on social media first.
When the two flew out to Los Angeles for the reunion filming, fans noticed that they were spending even more time together than usual. They shared some pretty sweet snaps on social media, including a shot of them posing together, which Briana captioned “Daddy Javi.” In another shot, Javi called Briana his “bae.”
Javi also posted this shot (shown above) of him with his arm around Briana. They were looking pretty coupley there! He wrote, “Thank you @laurentbaud for taking care of us at @taodowntown last night. We all had a great time. If y’all are in the city, be sure to hit him up for connect.”
However, this isn’t the first time that they’ve flirted via social media, so fans weren’t sure if they were being authentic. In fact, some fans thought they may have just been doing it for attention!

Now it’s clear that there’s much more than attention-seeking at the root of this relationship. There’s enough between them that they decided to give it a real shot.
Javi has finally revealed that the two of them are dating! He confirmed their new relationship to People Magazine this morning. “We are dating,” Javi said, adding, “We’ve been friends for a while and we weren’t in a rush.”
(Although, at this time, Briana and MTV haven’t confirmed that they are dating.)
The joining of this couple raises some practical questions, considering that Javi and Briana live on opposite ends of the country. Reddit user originalbella wrote, “I don’t see this as real or working out. Javi can’t move from Delaware because of Lincoln and his job. I don’t see Briana moving to Delaware with her two children and leaving her mom and sister behind. I think it’s similar to the last girl that Javi announced he was dating and then they very quickly broke up because of the distance.”
Well, Javi and Briana aren’t exactly known for taking things slow. According to a recent tweet, it looks like Briana is already considering moving in with Javi! She tweeted a picture of a snowsuit, writing, “I need this in white and pink!!!! ASAP.”
Her co-star Tyler Baltierra replied, “Yeah right, you live in Florida.” Briana then replied, “I might end up somehwere in Delaware.”

With “Javi-Ana” finally official, some fans were over the moon about the news. “They’re kind of cute together,” wrote Reddit user 0runnergirl0. User aditigirl wrote, “How long until there’s a Jav-Bri baby?” User StasRutt agreed, “Truly the TM power couple we needed.”
Despite the well-wishes from some fans, the majority of Teen Mom watchers on Reddit were not happy with the update.
“This is going to end so badly and it’s going to make for glorious TV,” wrote user k311y0h. User am710 agreed, “It’s going to end with someone leaving the show and my money is on Kail.”
User octoberflower wrote, “Is it terrible that I hope they don’t last long so Nova doesn’t get attached to him? I don’t think Javi needs to keep taking on all of these kids because ultimately the kids get hurt.”
“She tweeted to Tyler that she might end up moving to Delaware,” pointed out user wadamelin. “Where you gonna live, sis? You know your mom and sister aren’t going to let you go by yourself and take away that sweet MTV paycheck.”
They added, “Speaking of paycheck, what about the job she loves to tell people she has? She’s just gonna quit and rely on javi and MTV? Javis house isn’t big enough for 4 kids and 6 adults.”
