Are they going to make it work?
Kailyn Lowry’s most recent pregnancy seriously shook things up for the cast of Teen Mom 2. Even though Jenelle beat her to the punch of having three different baby daddies, Kailyn’s pregnancy was controversial because she wasn’t in a relationship with her baby’s father. In fact, no one even knew his identity for several months after the news of her pregnancy leaked!
He was a secret at first, but since Baby Lo was born, we’ve gotten to see much more of his father Chris Lopez. Circumstances are different for him than they were for Javi or Jo though. Kailyn herself has said that she and Chris were just friends. Now, that might have changed. It looks like Kailyn and Chris Lopez are in a romantic relationship.

Not NOT Together!

Not unlike many of her Teen Mom co-stars, Kailyn went through her third pregnancy alone. Even after her baby daddy’s identity was revealed, he didn’t have much to do with her and didn’t make an appearance on the show. According to Kailyn, he wanted to keep his identity under wraps so that his “other hoes” didn’t find out that they were together.
Once Baby Lo came, the script flipped. Even though many didn’t think Chris Lopez would even show up in the hospital when Kail gave birth, he did that and then some. Chris is juggling school and responsibilities, but Kail seems pleased with how much time he’s spending with his son. After all, even a small amount is better than him not coming around at all.
Even while co-parenting, though, it seemed that Kailyn and Chris were only friends. Now, Kailyn has said that there might be more romance between them than meets the eye… but even she doesn’t seem sure about where they stand!
“Our relationship is so weird,” Kail said in an interview with Radar Online. “I don’t necessarily think we are not together.”

So, right now, the most Kailyn can confirm is that they aren’t… not together? It looks like we’ll have to wait to find out if things get more serious between her and Baby Lo’s father.
In the meantime, the couple is trying to navigate how best to co-parent and arrange for a visitation schedule. “We’re trying to figure out what’s best for us,” Kailyn said. “He’s working and going to school. It’s hard when I’m gone for a couple of days at a time and he can’t see the baby every single day.”
Even though many mothers in her shoes would want something in writing about custody and visitation, Kailyn seems content to play things by ear. “Chris and I have a really different kind of relationship,” she told Radar. “I just don’t think that we need to go through the court system for anything for child support or custody.”
As of right now, Kailyn seems happy with the way that Chris has been when it comes to fatherhood. “When he has the baby he does a really good job,” she said. “He’s very hands-on when he is with him. I tell him all the time that I’m shocked and impressed. It’s not really what I expected. I never knew him around babies.”
