Matt and Amber’s relationship has been pretty crazy, to say the least. Amber has dealt with Matt’s cheating, substance abuse, and volatile personality ever since they got together. So when they finally split up, Amber fans were more than a little relieved.
However, fans might be in for another ride on Matt and Amber’s rollercoaster because now it seems like Amber and Matt might be making their way back together for what seems like the hundreth time.

Not Cut Off

Amber Portwood and Matt Baier redefine what an unhealthy relationship looks like. They’ve been off and on for what seems like ages now, but according to Amber, she has finally cut him out of her life.
Open Communication

This recent update from Dr. Drew’s podcast suggests that that may not be the case though. If an important part of moving on from an ex is cutting off communication, then Amber has simply decided to skip that step.
According to her interveiw with Dr. Drew, she’s still communicating with Matt. On the show, she said, “Matt right now is actually in Las Vegas, he’s living there. At this point in time, we are talking, but we’re not talking in a sense where we are getting back together. We argue too much. We are not living together, we have not lived together in over probably two months.”

It seems that, even though Amber lashes out on Matt frequently, she’s struggling to deal with the remaining feelings that she still has for him.
She told Dr. Drew, “I’m trying to find me first before I even start thinking about another relationship in general. But we still talk, of course, because love doesn’t just shut off like that. That’s not how it works. I just want him to be happy.”
