The ruling will come with a lifestyle change!
Jenelle Evans’ custody battle has been in the public eye a lot lately, as she faced off with her own mother Barbara for custody of her child. Even though she didn’t regain full custody, she was granted more visitation rights, which is a victory to some extent.
Many people don’t realize that her fiance, David, was going through his own custody battle for his daughter Maryssa, whose mother is his ex-wife Whitney Johnson.
Fighting for Custody
Before Jenelle Evans was engaged to David Eason, David was married to Whitney Johnson. Whitney and David were married for seven years, and in that time, they had a daughter named Maryssa.
Although Whitney retained custody in the split, David recently decided to attempt to get more rights with his child.
David and Daughter
After he went to court, Radar Online reported that David Eason managed to regain full custody of his daughter, which means he’ll likely now be the one primarily raising the seven-year-old girl.
David’s sister Jessica (yes, the Jessica who Jenelle constantly feuds with) revealed that “David is happy about getting full custody.”
Even though custody battles are often enough to permanently divide former partners, according to Jessica, David and Whitney’s family are still on good terms.
She says the Easons are “still very close” with Whitney’s family and that Whitney will still get to see her daughter despite the change in custody agreements.
Jessica told Radar, “She still goes to stay with Maryssa’s mom Mary. Mary takes her to gymnastics and Whitney is still in her life.”
