It's all in the eyes!
In the Teen Mom community, when it comes to rumors of drugs, addiction, and relapse, it’s all about the eyes. When there are suspicions that one of the cast members is using, fans look to the eyes of the stars, since there isn’t much more evidence that the fans themselves have access to.
Sometimes the speculation about pupil size or bulging eyes can seem a bit far fetched, but when it comes to Ryan Edwards, his expressions and appearances have been linked to his drug use in the past. It’s no wonder that this picture was so alarming to fans that it was quickly deleted by his wife, Mackenzie.

The first year of Ryan Edwards and Mackenzie Standifer’s marriage has been difficult since day one. After their initial elopement, Ryan soon left for rehab after admitting to an addiction to heroin that allegedly added up to $10,000 a week. Now that Ryan has completed a rehab program, things for the couple are stabilizing out, but there are still some obstacles they’ll have to overcome. In fact, many fans believe that Ryan isn’t entirely clean.
Although it hasn’t been revealed that Ryan is using drugs again, many fans were disappointed to see that Ryan has consumed alcohol on multiple occasions since leaving rehab. Now, this new picture has fans thinking he could have turned back to drugs as well.
In this picture, Ryan and Mackenzie pose with one another in a shot captioned “Lover lover.” However, fans honed in on one thing very quickly: Ryan’s extremely wide eyes.
“My, what big eyes you have Ryan,” user noodlepenis commented on Reddit.
“Too bad we’ve seen these eyes from Ryan before ?,” user Bee_Burden wrote, and shenanigansarefun agreed. “I saw this earlier on Instagram and first thing I could see is his eyes. Baby what is you doin?” they wrote.

The picture could have gone by relatively unnoticed, but what Mackenzie did next made everything just a little bit more suspicious. Apparently after getting such a reaction, she decided to delete the picture entirely, and re-upload a new picture with the same caption. This lead to many fans believing Mackenzie knew something was off.
“That is so crazy that she deleted this one and posted a different one!!!” wrote Reddit user tedsgrl. “Pretty much just confirming that she knows he looks tweaky!!!”
Amid all of these rumors, there are other rumors about Mackenzie herself that put the potential relapse in a completely different light. After numerous clues, it seems that Mackenzie might be dropping hints that she’s pregnant with Ryan’s child.
One of the clues that fans found most compelling was an advertisement Mackenzie recently posted for a device that helps women get pregnant. “Ava works while you sleep to gather insights on your your monthly cycle, and tells you when your 5 most fertile days are. We’ll be ready to go if we ever decide to try for Baby #2!” she captioned the photo.
However, many thought that she may already be pregnant. “I’m guessing she’s pregnant now with Ryan’s baby. so that’s why I’m guessing she said if we have baby #2 with the help of the bracelet,” theorized Instagram user @natt116.
