Not cool, Maci!
Of all of the Teen Mom cast members, Maci Bookout is easily one of the least controversial. She’s down to earth, focuses on her children and her family, and sticks to her morals even when they’re not the most popular opinion. As a result, when there’s a big Teen Mom controversy, Maci doesn’t tend to be involved.
Not all of the scandals go down during the episodes though. Sometimes, they take place over social media. With that being said… Fans have begun to notice something fishy about Maci’s Instagram that they’re not very happy about. It looks like one of the fan-favorites is gathering some haters because of this relentless social media behavior that she seemingly refuses to change.

It’s no secret that the Teen Mom cast members make some serious money just for being on the show, but they won’t be reality stars forever. Eventually that money will run out. (Especially if some of them keep spending the way they currently are!)
Some of the moms have realized this, so they’ve tried to figure out how they could make money on the side. That way, when the show stops running, they’ll be able to maintain their current lifestyles.
This looks different for each of the moms. Amber opened an online boutique, Catelynn and Tyler started a clothing line, and Farrah… Well, she makes her money the adult way.

A new trend has started amongst celebrities on social media. Many of them have signed contracts with companies and products, so they are asked to post pictures of themselves using products in exchange for payment. Maci Bookout is now one of these stars, and fans are getting fed up with her antics.
It looks like her method of money making may also be making her lose her fans.
One of the biggest frustrations fans have been calling Maci out for is the fact that they don’t believe she even uses the products! She recently posted this ad for a “teatox” weight loss program, and fans were not having it. She captioned the photo, “I definitely enjoyed myself over the summer (ok, maybe a little too much) but no more excuses. The holidays are right around the corner & I want to be sure my tummy is flat – not to mention the energy it gives me (amazing).”
Fans sounded off in the comments about her advertising.

“Girl bye you weight 10lbs,” wrote Instagram user chicago_est1984. User snowthepanda agreed, “Stop trying to be so fake and selling horrible products that you don’t even use.” “This just makes me laugh! like you have no belly fat, so yea promote something you don’t even need,” user eterek said.
In another update, Maci took a selfie of herself wearing a waist training corset. She wrote, “I never thought #waisttraining would be this comfy. #ad I wear mine at home or work for 6-8 hrs & I’ve seen amazing results.”
Fans seemed irritated with this ad, too. “Just STOP with promoting this junk,” wrote user organichippiechic. User fixyou4 agreed, “I know, its sad they promote this junk BC no way in hell does she need waist training… I just had baby 4,and its called exercise and eating right.”
