It’s no secret that Jenelle and David are a pretty controversial Teen Mom couple. Fans either love and defend them no matter what, or they can’t stand anything they do. However, it seems that this newly married couple is pushing the envelope when it comes to controversial moves, and it may just cost them their only forms of employment.
After shaking things up with some inflammatory political posts, it seems they’ve gone off the deep end. Now, after he went on a pro-gun and homophobic rant, fans are begging MTV to kick David — and Jenelle — off of Teen Mom 2 for good.

When Jenelle Evans messes up, it’s not common for her to own up to her mistakes. She often finds herself digging an even deeper hole than she started out in. When she and David Eason both posted pictures of herself with a massive gun the day after the recent school shooting in Florida, all fans wanted was an acknowledgement that she had messed up. Instead, Jenelle stood her ground, defended her choice, and got more fans upset in the process.
It’s not uncommon for Jenelle to dig herself into these holes, but this time around, something is different: she has her husband, David Eason, to jump in with her. Unfortunately for Jenelle, David’s subsequent tirade on Twitter may just cost the couple their Teen Mom gig.

Jenelle and David have both deleted their Twitter accounts as of yesterday, but not before they made thousands of enemies with their combative opinions and arguments. After David defended his choice to post Jenelle with a gun on the day of the school shooting, he got a lot of not-so-great attention on his profiles. It wasn’t long before this devolved into other arguments. Now, David’s homophobic viewpoints have him in hot water as well.
“For you I would limit exposure of unnecessary weaponry around the house (stop glorifying assault rifles) teach your children to be aware of their surroundings at school,” Twitter user @Salpollock recommended to David to keep his children safe. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, David brought up his negative views about LGBTQ citizens.
“And just what makes you think you have the right to tell me how to parent?” he replied. “Because you think you know me? Lmao why don’t you go tell the homo and transgender parents to start teaching their kids better morals? Oh I forgot thats supposed to be normal.”

Unfortunately, it only gets uglier from there. When one fan asked, “Who are you to say what’s normal or what’s moral? Are you going to teach your children to hate gay and transgender people?” David revealed that he plans to raise Jace, Kaiser, Ensley, and Maryssa to be homophobic and bigoted. “No, Im going to teach them not to associate with them or be that way…” he said. “If you lay down with dogs you get up with fleas.”
Apparently, this wasn’t enough for David. After fans began to call him homophobic, it seems like he lacked a fundamental understanding of what the word meant. “Never said anything about being scared [of] homos,” he wrote. “Homophobic? You really lost it now, im not scared [of] s**t especially a homo.”
Jenelle and David have lost fans for various reasons in the past, but his blatant homophobia has fans demanding that he be removed from the show. “If David had any other kind of job, [his tweets] would 100% get him fired. So hateful,” pointed out Reddit user stephc02. Now, fans are rallying to get the couple removed from the show entirely.
Now, one user going by Ginger V has started a formal petition on Change.org, filed to executive producer Morgan J. Freeman. In their petition, they outline numerous reasons they believe the Easons should lose their jobs.
