News moves quickly in the Teen Mom universe. One moment, you’re celebrating an exciting pregnancy announcement, and the next moment, things start to get pretty scary.
It was only a few months ago that Maci Bookout’s ex Ryan Edwards was celebrating the fact that he had accomplished sobriety. He had gone through a rehabilitation treatment and was back on his feet after only 21 days. Even though Maci insisted that he pass a drug test in front of her, Ryan fought to have more access to their son, Bentley.
As it turns out, Maci was right to be apprehensive of Ryan’s sobriety. The Teen Mom OG baby daddy has just been arrested for a heroin-related crime only days after it was revealed that he’s having a baby with his new wife.

A lot has changed in Ryan Edwards’ life since he and Maci Bookout broke things off. He is now married to the ever-controversial Mackenzie Standifer, and has spent much of this season of Teen Mom OG trying to get more custody of his son, Bentley. There’s just one thing keeping Maci from letting Ryan see his son: she’s been questioning his sobriety.
From day one, Maci has had one request when it comes to Ryan. She has informed him that after he passes a drug test in front of her, she’ll let him spend time with his son alone. For some reason, Ryan was unable to produce clean drug tests, and although he had every excuse in the book, Maci suspected that he wasn’t as clean as he said he was.
But Ryan’s wedding isn’t the only big news he’s shared this season. In the last episode of Teen Mom OG, fans were treated to a shocking sneak preview about the newlywed couple. As it turns out, Mackenzie Standifer is pregnant with Ryan’s child!

According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, Ryan and Mackenzie could not hold their secret in if they tried. It turns out that they were sharing their news backstage while the Teen Mom OG reunion was filming in New York.
“That’s when most of the cast and even some of the crew found out Mackenzie was pregnant,” the source revealed. “Mackenzie and Ryan don’t know the sex of the baby yet, but are finding out on April 20.”
In fact, according to the source, Mackenzie is due around the same time that Chelsea Houska is!
“Ryan is actually really excited about this baby,” the source revealed. “They were trying to keep it quiet in the beginning, though, because they knew that [viewers] would have a lot of negative things to say.”
Now it’s clear that Ryan has more to focus on than just his coming child. In a shocking relapse, Ryan has just been arrested for heroin possession.

“He was held on $5,000 bond,” a spokesperson for Hamilton County Jail in Tennessee revealed to Radar. “He was bonded out at 10:15pm.”
The outlet revealed that Ryan “was arrested at his home on a warrant at 3pm on March 27 for petition to revoke, which means breaking probation, related to a past simple possession of heroin charge.”
