Instagram Panics After Cole Posts Picture “Without” His Wedding Ring

The thing about being in the spotlight is that you can’t do anything — anything — without sparking wild rumors about your life. Case in point? Cole DeBoer’s most recent Instagram post and the speculation of trouble in paradise that spun out from it.

Sure, Teen Mom’s Chelsea (Houska) and Cole DeBoer do their best to stay out of the MTV rumor mill — they do a fairly good job of it — but even they couldn’t avoid it forever. Yesterday (April 5, 2017), Cole posted a photo of himself cradling his two-month-old son, Watson, in a quiet moment between parent and child. It’s super cute.

The 28-year-old father captioned the sweet shot with a heart emoji and a short message, “life complete @chelseahouska.”

On the Case!

Since Instagram is always ready for a scoop, user mrs.cbancroft quickly pointed out that it didn’t look like Cole was wearing a wedding ring in the photo — the logical extension of which is that there might be trouble brewing in the DeBoer’s South Dakota home.

“Not wearing a wedding ring,” the user wrote followed by a ring emoji. “Boo,” they added at the end.

The comment section then filled up with debate over whether his lack of a ring meant anything (most people said that no, it doesn’t, so kudos there), but here is the kicker: he was wearing a ring.
