She says it's all a lie!
One thing viewers have definitely learned from Teen Mom is that there are always two sides to every story. Between feuding baby daddies and fights with exes, it’s not uncommon for one of the girls to recount one experience just to have someone else tell an entirely different story. But Jenelle was clearly very sure about her son being in danger because she took it to the authorities and called 911.
Even though Jenelle told police officials that Barbara was hitting her son Jace and telling him to leave their home, Barbara tells an entirely different side of the story. Now Barbara is trying her best to set the record straight, claiming that she never laid a hand on her grandchild.

It’s no secret that Jenelle Evans and her mother Barbara don’t see eye-to-eye when it comes to raising Jenelle’s first son Jace. Jenelle signed custody of her son over to her mother in the first season of Teen Mom 2, and since then it has been an eternal battle between the two for custody.
Recently, when Jenelle lost another custody battle to her mother, she cut her mother entirely out of her life. She even made the choice not to invite Barbara to her wedding. But recently it seemed that Jenelle was fearful for the way their feud was affecting her son, claiming that Barbara was hitting Jace and telling him he wasn’t welcome in her home!
“My son called me crying his eyes out and saying that my mother is actually hitting him and he’s huffing and puffing and he can’t breathe,” she told the operator in the shocking audio from the 911 call. “I said, ‘Hey, hey, hey. Calm down. What’s wrong? What’s wrong?’ [Jace] said, ‘[Grandma] hit me! [Grandma] hit me!’”
Jenelle told the operator that Barbara didn’t realize she could hear her yelling at Jace. “She’s also saying stuff like ‘Get out of the house, leave the house. You need to leave and never come back,’” Jenelle told the 911 operator. “She doesn’t even know that I’m still on the phone right now … My son’s screaming for me in the background and she will not give him the phone and she will not answer my phone call.”

But now Barbara is clapping back, claiming that Jenelle fabricated the entire thing. In an interview with Radar Online, Barbara revealed what happened once the police arrived at her home. She says that the police asked Jace “Did your grandmother hit you?” and he said, “No, my grandmother did not hit me.”
According to Barbara, Jace’s actions come as a result of his ADHD and medication. “Jace had been having a meltdown,” she revealed. “He has ADHD and his medication was starting to wear off. He was just so upset, throwing toys at me and kicking the walls.”
She added, “By the time the police came he was calm. I told them he’s having a meltdown. His ADHD medicine wears off at night. I showed them the medicine and told them this is starting to kick in.”
According to Barbara, the police completely sided with her during the house check. “The officer said to me ‘This is just another thing with Jenelle and her drama. She is just trying to get ratings up for MTV.’ They know what she is all about.”
