She's off the map!
Even though the Teen Mom OG season isn’t currently filming, it doesn’t mean that the stars’ lives have been put on hold. We’ve still been able to keep up with Farrah Abraham’s adult film ventures, Maci Bookout’s baby daddy drama, and Catelynn and Tyler’s big move. Notably absent, though, is Amber Portwood.
The news updates on Portwood have been few and far between. In fact, it’s been a while since anything new about Amber came out — she’s even taken a long break from social media. Ordinarily, this wouldn’t be too concerning, but with Amber in a new relationship, this has raised some red flags for many of her fans.
After Amber confirmed that she and her new boyfriend, Andrew Glennon, were official, news about his past started coming out… and none of it is good. Andrew has a long list of run-ins with the law, and has had charges against him for weapon possession, driving under the influence, and even stalking his ex-girlfriends.
Now, fans are worried that Amber may have retreated to protect her boyfriend, or maybe even because things are going downhill!

Where’s Amber?

All of the Teen Mom cast members have had difficulties with exes in the past, but Amber Portwood has had an extra-rough go of things in the love department. Most recently, of course, was her controversial relationship with Matt Baier which most fans were rooting against from day one. At nearly 20 years her senior, fans never really trusted Matt and couldn’t figure out why Amber was involved with him. Even so, Amber was absolutely heartbroken when they finally called it quits earlier this year.
Despite her heartbreak, it didn’t take long for the reality star to move on to someone new. About three months after her breakup, she found a new man. Unfortunately for Amber, though, Andrew Glennon doesn’t really seem like a step in the right direction.
It soon became clear that her new boyfriend had some serious skeletons in his closet — that is, a pretty hefty criminal record. From having restraining orders taken out against him to being arrested for a DUI to even having guns and weapons on him, it was clear that he was no angel.
However, as more and more news about him began to come out, it seemed that Amber was becoming less and less present with fans! At the time the news broke, Andrew opened up about the way his past was affecting Amber. “This is jeopardizing our relationship, which tears my heart,” he admitted to Radar Online. “She is still processing. Right now everything is up in the air.”
Although Amber has posted a few snaps since then, fans were getting extremely worried about her. Having had serious mental health problems in the past, they were also concerned that she is falling back into a slump. Some even thought she may have turned back to drug abuse.

Even though Amber did update fans about taking her new man to Hawaii, that was over a month ago as of publication (Oct. 27, 2017).
Reddit user keatonpotat0es wrote, “I would say it’s healthy if she were single and focusing on herself and her daughter. LOL BUT THIS IS AMBER. We know she’s already playing house with an even bigger psycho than Matt, so yeah, this is concerning.”
User TartofDarkness agreed, “I’m definitely concerned about the new guy. Any guy with ONE stalking blemish in his past is going to make me nope out and this guy has at least two recorded instances of stalking? Gross.”
User playing_the_angel offered a few theories, writing:
“I have a few theories on it. One is that I think she’s(temporarily ) tired of it. She got slated for Matt and probably just wants off the merry-go-round for a bit. Another is that she is in a new, isolated relationship and is going back to her ‘F the world/Us against the world’ mentality, but this time is doing so more privately. While treatment is possible, I’m personally thinking it’s just more forms of isolation she’s brought on herself.”
But it was just when fans were getting particularly concerned that Amber took to Twitter to reveal what was going on. She wrote, “Hi loves! I know I’ve been MIA however I just want to say I’m happier than ever and focusing on family. Sending love everyone.”
Reddit user DictaSupreme wrote, “I hope ‘focusing on my family’ doesn’t just mean ‘focusing on my new boo.’” But others just weren’t buying it at all. “Something’s fishy. She still should have shown up at the reunion thing,” wrote user Coleatemycereal.
